I don’t know what I would do without my best friend. Living 4 hours apart and she still finds the time to come and visit me and speak to me every day!
Amy was the retiring may-queen for Wellow Maypole day 2010. Usually they don’t allow anyone over the age of 16 to dance. However, this was a special year and an anniversary for maypole day so they agreed to let me dance and go on stage to present Amy with her flowers. This was such a special moment!
We’ve been on holiday to Portugal together, walked around the village late at night because there literally was nothing else to do where we lived. We played on the park pretending to have relay races and having picnics. We have camped outside on the trampoline whilst watching the meteor showers and going for 14 mile bike rides stopping at different villages checking out the parks and swings. We have seen and been there for each other through a couple of horrible break ups.
I have held her trousers up whilst she was bell ringing at church because she didn’t have a belt. She looked after me and took me in when I was locked out my house at 4:30 in the morning when I forgot my keys from a night out in Mansfield!... I cried and cried because I had ‘grazed my knee’ and she had to tuck me into bed.
My nan knitted us matching ponchos so we could walk around looking like twins with pig tails. We liked to dress up with camouflage and granny scarfs when we were playing hide and seek in the woods with our fellow village friends.
I honestly cannot thank her enough for being my best friend. #bestfriend#bestfriendsgoals#maypoledancing#maypole#knittedponchos#friendsholiday#memories#bellringing#sleepoverfun#bestfriends#bestfriendsforlife#distancedoesntmatter
