It’s Sunday so that can only mean one thing - #sundaysnorkel and this time we’re getting truly wintery.
But you can snorkel and freedive no matter how cold it gets.
Last year on my @cbbc series ‘Beyond Bionic’ I swam 50m under the ice of a frozen Alaskan lake whilst holding my breath.
It was minus 28 degrees Celsius. So cold that my fins cracked apart after I exited from the dive.
The visibility wasn’t that great under the ice but it was still a stunning and other-worldly place to spend a single breath.
What made is so great was the British-American Crew and the local Alaskan Dive team who were super professional and so welcoming.
So no matter how cold it gets you can still get in.
Did you know that Hot Forming process (from which the H.F. acronym comes), permits a precise control of the temperature during hardening phase of the resin, so that internal pretensions of the final carbon fiber are eliminated?
