A 5-point plan to maximise India's #renewableenergy potential⠀
#India’s #electricity sector generates roughly 1.2 trillion kWh of electricity annually, which divides roughly into 1,000 kWh per person. This is distinctly low by global standards; it is roughly one-quarter that of China and one-thirteenth that of the US.⠀
This statistic indicates the huge unmet demand for electricity that still exists in #India. Add to this the fact that we are the fastest-growing large #economy, and we may be looking at having to double our #energy output by 2030 in order to sustain this pace of growth. While this calls for steps to augment the power sector’s capacity, we can ill afford to go down the traditional #carbon-spewing #fossilfuel-driven growth path.⠀
Globally there is now an increased awareness of the havoc that #climatechange and rising #pollution can cause. Every country must cut back its carbon emission levels and India is no exception. Looking ahead, therefore, #renewable energy emerges as an obvious alternative. India must strive to transform its energy mix and ensure that a majority of the additional capacity comes from renewable sources. It has been estimated that renewable energy will very soon become cheaper than that derived from fossil sources, which also enhances its importance to a developing economy like ours in which affordability and last-mile access are major issues.⠀
GREEN NEW DEAL: The fight for renewable energy is directly tied to impacts on #HumanRights. .
#Indigenous tribes defending their land and water from being destroyed by #OilPipelines have been met with armed #resistance from privatized police forces, while #frontline communities of color who often live closest to sources of pollution such as toxic oil refineries suffer from harmful health problems. We demand a just transition into a clean energy economy for #LosAngeles to mitigate the effects of #ClimateChange, investing in energy conservation, #GreenJobs, and infrastructure replacing #fossilfuel with #RenewableEnergy.
Support a Green New Deal for California and legislation in keeping with the scale and urgency of the climate crisis.

Did you know the Earth’s #soil contains about 2,500 gigatons of carbon? That’s more than 3x the amount of carbon in the atmosphere! 💨
Plants release carbon through their roots during photosynthesis and through decomposition. When tiny particles of soil clump together to form soil aggregates, they protect the carbon from microbes that want to consume it. 🐛
One of the best ways for plants to sequester carbon is through regenerative agriculture: a new concept working to transform our soil and our agriculture system. By herding cows in the way bison move across grasslands, farmers are no longer depleting the land but rather building it back up. Learn more from @kisstheground. 🌾
#Tesla may soon be collaborating with #Greece to help modernize its #power grids by using advanced energy storage #technology.
According to Electrek, Tesla has presented Greek officials a proposal to reduce the country's #fossilfuel dependency and aid the transition to renewable #energy sources.
The proposal suggests the creation of a #microgrid composed of #energystorage systems to power remote #Greekislands that are not connected to the country's main power grid.

Sweden is betting on the open road to drive it into the green future. The nation opened an electrified road that charges vehicles while it drives in an effort to have a fossil-fuel free transportation system by 2030.

THIS IS A PRODUCT 100% NATURAL🍃, NO CHEMICALS🧟♀️🧟♂️! 🇮🇹 nei commenti
Let's talk about real science rather than scientific propaganda or misinformation. This is a picture of my friend acetic acid⚛, and as you guys can see the safety label says that it's flammable🔥 and corrosive. You might think "I would never eat/touch that🚫". Wrong! You eat almost every day because it's one of the main components of vinegar. If you really don't want to use any chemical, then you better stop drinking 🚱and eating🚷 because the good news is that everything on this planet and beyond is a chemical. Even water is a chemical compound with formula H2O💧. Water is the safest thing on earth but you might be surprised that there is a case reported of a chap who died for intoxication from water☣ (waut?) .
When you read on labels "argan oil shampoo 100% natural" "sandal oil cream 100% natural", does it mean that the oil comes straight from the plant 🌾and cosmetic companies put it in the box as it is? Not a change. They use the extract of the plant and transform it into the final product using a chemical process. Natural it's wrongly used to make a difference between plant-derivatives 🌵and crude oil-derivatives🏗. But wait a moment, are fossil fuels non-natural compounds? They have originated on this planet 60 million ago during the Carboniferous. Basically, they have been on earth🌍 long before humans would come to destroy it. They are natural compounds indeed. The correct wording to make a difference between plant-derivatives and crude oil-derivatives would be coming from sustainable feedstocks ♻️rather than non-renewable ones (crude oil). Before talking BS about chemistry please think! And please remember that the statement "100% natural is a lie". Companies like to deceive you because this is how they get your 💲💲into their pockers. Sad but true.
