Bringing back the OG hash brown mess for the first time in over 9 months. I had such a bad aversion to eggs my entire pregnancy but it suddenly disappeared after I delivered and now I’m eating eggs every single day again. Hash browns + bacon + eggs + cayenne mayo aka the most delicious breakfast foods 😍🤤
Hello everyone! Here’s a quick food tip. Cook food for the whole week. That will go a long way in helping you to stay on track. When I get home from work, my dinner is already cooked and ready for me to heat it, plate it and enjoy. Try it!
Mindful Eating or Mindless Eating
We all love snacks, but how many people find themselves multi-tasking while eating? Do you find yourself being stuffed after a snack or eating more than expected?
Snacks are everywhere. Many times people become distracted while they are eating and it becomes mindless grazing rather than mindful snacking to fuel your body. You are eating either because your body needs the fuel or grazing due to stress, boredom, or distraction.
Next time you are going to eat a snack I want you to check in with yourself. Understand if you are eating for fuel or other reasons. Also, when you do eat, I want you to put down your phone, log off the computer, shut off the TV, etc..Be in the moment while you are eating, so you can be mindful of what your body needs. Take a quick break from your crazy schedule to enjoy your snack.
If you want to learn more about mindful eating comment below or message me💕

“I’m feeling 100% confident in my ability to eat right for ME,” said no woman ever.🤦♀️
With SO much information at our fingertips, dozens of free meal plans over on Pinterest, and MyFitnessPal, we’re less confident than ever. We’re riding the struggle bus, every single day, knowing what we “should” do but having a hard time actually doing it.
But what if I told you that lack of confidence is doing more than make you question yourself - it’s also keeping you from being consistent, reaching your physique goals, and accepting your body.
Lovey, after coaching women from around the world for the last three years, I've found that our lack of confidence in our ability to eat healthy consistently is holding us back.
🔥Our thoughts determine our outcomes.🔥
So, until you get confidentAF in your ability to handle any eating situation, you will continue to struggle.
-You’ll binge every Friday night after a week of perfect eating. -You’ll continue to eat the giant piece of birthday cake, even though it doesn't look that great - cuz you don't trust yourself to say no.
-You’ll keep being afraid to keep chocolate chips in the house - cuz you know you’ll eat the whole bag.
Lovey, you get so hung up on getting this perfectly that it's actually sabotaging your efforts... nothing in life is perfect, but you can get confidently consistent.
I designed the free #ConfidentlyConsistent Series for the woman who's ready to figure this consistency thing out, once and for all, and get a hell of a lot more confident in herself in the process.
Check out the details at the link in my profile or drop an emoji below and I'll send ya the deets 😍

QUESTION TUESDAY FROM MY DMs...Do I have to take a protein shake to see results and how much protein do I need? I’ve gotten this question a lot lately.
Plain and simple answer is no you don’t have to take a protein shake but let me give you the low down on protein.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT PROTEIN-
* Protein is made up of amino acids and is one of the 3 macro nutrients that your body needs to function. Protein is used for growth and repair of muscle, tissues and cells and manufacturing hormones. It is the main component of our muscles, skin, internal organs, especially the heart and brain, as well as our eyes, hair and nails. Our immune system also requires protein to help make antibodies that are required to help fight infections
WHERE DO I GET PROTEIN FROM?
* You can get your protein from many different sources like Turkey, Chicken, Quinoa, Tofu, Nuts, Seeds and Protein Shakes or Bars. Even veggies have protein in them.
HOW MUCH DO I NEED?
* This is 100% dependent on you, your goals and where you’re at in your nutrition journey. I suggest to include a major protein sources with 3 of your main meals and start there. Side note...if you have been eating a low protein diet, don’t just jump in and add lots of protein to your daily food intake. Stat slowly adding it back in over a period of time.
* IMPORTANT- Nutrition should not only be based off hitting a certain protein, carb and fat goal but how the foods you eat make you feel. The amount of protein will depend on your goals, body and where you currently are at. .
SO WHY TAKE A PROTEIN SHAKE?
* The main reason people take protein powder is because it’s convenient and fast absorbing, meaning your body uses it quickly and it gets to those muscle fast. You can throw some into your oatmeal or yogurt, add it to recipes, cookies, waffles or make a protein shake or smoothy. One thing I do suggest is, to not use protein shakes as a meal replacement, choose a high-quality product and do your research first.
To answer the question of...DO YOU HAVE TO USE A PROTEIN POWDER? It’s completely up to you and dependent on your goals.
Have any questions about protein or anything at all, comment below 👇 or shoot me a DM.
New blog post up, and this one is SO important.
If you're going through binge-eating behaviors and are afraid they may never stop, or that nothing you've tried has worked, don't worry, you're not alone... I was in that EXACT same place years ago. But I ended up making a full and permanent recovery from my binge-eating. My relationship with food now is better than it's ever been, and I think the reason I'm sharing with you today could be a big piece of the puzzle in your own recovery journey!

Lunches prepped for the week in 15 minutes flat! Featuring turkey bacon collard wraps with @plainvillepoultry turkey breast and fresh greens from @thefarmbus. If you’ve never tried collard wraps, they are more nutrient-dense and much sturdier than boring old lettuce wraps. (Although don’t get me wrong, I do love the crunch of a good lettuce wrap). To prep the collards, bring a pot of water to a boil and prep an ice bath right beside it. While the water is boiling, chop your collard greens in half lengthwise to remove the thick stem. Use tongs to pop them in the boiling water to blanch for about 30 seconds, then into the ice bath to cool. Transfer them to a towel to dry, then roll them up and pack them in your lunch. I love my turkey bacon collard wraps with a good drizzle of yellow mustard and @primalkitchenfoods avocado mayo. Enjoyed with veggies, an apple, and a flavored seltzer on the side.
“chicken” bbq wraps🤤 veggie chicken burger cut up and baked with bbq sauce, sautéed onions and red peppers on a whole wheat tortilla with barbecue on top! SO good! Currently drooling thinking about it still to be honest 😂 Only addition for next time will be some lettuce🥬.

@whole30 Day 16
Clearly Bailee is not feeling the Tiger Blood yet 🤣🤣 today we took the day to listen to our bodies and to re-read labels before we put food into our body. Thank god for antihistamines 🙌🏼. Everyday I’m reminded of how lucky I am for this opportunity and that the whole 30 is a process. To say I’ve loved everyday of this - would be a complete lie. But all of you have been an amazing support system and I want to say thank you! ❤️ I know many people have messaged me, commented wanting recipe information - so I’ve created a blog that will hold all of that information!! Check it out: Craftingthepaleoway.wordpress.com
I’ve been reading about the paleo diet and I think it’s something I’ll be leaning more towards after my whole 30 journey and onto food freedom ❤️

The difference between these photos is a week of no workouts, and eating/drinking whatever I want on vacation.
See the difference? The pounds of fat gained?
NO? ME EITHER.
On vacation i are what I wanted when I wanted it. I didn’t worry about not exercising or the calories in my meal.
So why didn’t I gain a bunch of fat?
⭐️ I don’t restrict myself from foods anymore so vacation didn’t need to be about binging on foods that are normally “bad” #FOODFREEDOM
⭐️ I walked a lot. Why take an uber when you can walk and burn some cals!
⭐️ I ate a nutritious and filling breakfast. Most days on vacation we woke up and ate protein oats. This kept us full through dinner when we’d enjoy whatever we wanted! Eating only two meals a day allowed for me to eat much more food each meal without eating a ton of extra calories. ♦️ NOTE: I did not count a single macro or weigh a single food. Even if I had gained a little fat it’s not the end of the world but I these tricks are my go to when I know I have some shredding ahead of me!
All this to say vacation doesn’t have to throw you completely off track or be the end of your healthy lifestyle. It’s 100% to enjoy yourself on vacation and pick up right where you left off!
Anyone else have some go to travel tips!? #healthylifestyle#fitfam#makeyourselfproud#progressnotperfection#bodybuilding#shreddingseason#weddingbod#vacationbody#chickswholift

Change is also inevitable - if you resist change you’re only causing yourself harm 🙅🏼♀️ When we learn to accept change and flow with it freely beautiful things happen ✨ Life is constantly changing - when you view this as an opportunity to grow and learn new things, you see why these changes happen 💫 On that note, I have decided to stop blocking myself from helping men as well as women -
I understand as a women the connection may be different, however we are all equal, we are all one, and men need help as much as women 💖 Of course everything is completely confidential so if it’s something you don’t want to admit to that’s totally okay 👌🏼If there are any men out there who are struggling with their relationship with food, or their self worth / body image - send me a DM and let’s have a chat 💕 It’s okay to ask for help - our societies ideals of masculinity are just as damaging as our ideals of female beauty - it’s all relative and we need to stand together to break free from these 🖤 #intuitiveeatingcoach#mindsetcoach#allone#masculineandfeminine
**EASY MEAL ALERT*** This tuna was so quick and had so much flavor! I needed something that would thaw fast and was low fuss. I bought a big bag of tuna steaks at @sprouts to have on hand when we needed a high protein meal and tonight was that night! My 3 year old ate a whole steak! 👍🏼 Go get yo’self some!!
🐟 Marinate tuna steaks in olive oil, coconut aminos (a soy sauce substitute), salt, pepper (I only marinated for 10 minutes)
🐟 In a hot oiled skillet sear tuna for 2.5 minutes on first side and 2 minutes on the other side
🐟 This will give you a pink center. Cook longer in 30 second increments if you want it more well done

A different kind of TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY. This is me at 27, 39 and 43! The constant in all three was my 100% dedication to my fitness. My determination to succeed and consistency has always been there. Always!
The difference is in the nutrition. In 2002 at 27 yrs of age, I trained for my first figure competition. I had no idea how to eat properly in those days. I cut carbs, ate a bunch of boring chicken and salad and basically hated life for 8 weeks. Lack of carbs do affect your mood. I was a mega bitch. Lol! I wasn't eating enough and deprived myself of nutrients so once the competition was over, the aftermath was horrible. All my cravings came rushing in. I couldn't stop eating. I gained all the weight back in the blink of an eye which really messed with my head!
Fast forward to 2014, I decided to enter the Beachbody Classic, an amateur physique competition, hosted by Beachbody. At this point in my life I had a better understanding of food. Although I promised myself not to go crazy cutting out food during the prep phase, I ended up cutting carbs again. Sure I looked great but once again as soon as it was over, I went crazy eating. The aftermath was a nightmare. This time it took me about a year to get to nutrition under control. No bueno!
I decided then that I would NEVER do any deprivation type plans ever again. Mentally I can't handle it.
Here's me in May 2018 when I turned 43 years young. I was working out for one hour max per day, six days per week at home. At that time I was eating more calories than ever, 1800 - 2199 per day. NO deprivation or starvation. Like usual, eating what I like and a huge variety of food daily including carbs and fruit. At this point in my life, I want to work smarter and more effectively. There's no need for overtraining when you're eating correctly. Remember, garbage in garbage out!
In my opinion, I look better and healthier at 43 than I did at 27. It's all in the nutrition friends. It's not only about eating clean; its about eating the right amount of calories daily to keep you in balance and away from cravings. You cannot out exercise a poor diet!
So, what is your biggest challenge with food?
In the past my relationship with food was anxiety-driven. I tried to convince myself that I didn’t like cookies, chips, almond butter, etc
There are still some days when I feel that way but now I just remember that life is too short to be agitated, self-conscious and conflicted about the things I truly enjoy
And so now I bake, and snack and eat one too many spoonfuls of almond butter 💃🤤 If you guys want the recipe to these big batch oatmeal chocolate chip raisin cookies - let me know down in the comments 🍪
This was the best. sandwich. I've. ever. made. @costco pulled pork in the bottom and then I put some diced onion, sun roasted 🍅, bacon grease in my little accessory pan, both in the air fryer at 400 for 8 min. GF bread spread w ghee, added pulled pork/onion/🍅, some blue cheese and a slice of cheddar, honey mustard bbq sauce and then air fryer at 400 until desired crispness (5-10 min) 🤤

Terri has been training and working on her nutrition for a long time, whether at home in Viking, or at CrossFit Camrose, she has always been very health conscious. Terri decided to take the step of joining GPNutrition when she found her health and nutrition plateauing, and she has done an amazing job!
“PN helped me go beyond the superficial and expose some of my underlying obstacles that have been the means to seeing the finish line, but never crossing it... Both eating slowly and journaling have helped me be more aware of the emotions I was having before and while eating. I LOVE food! I don’t see it as the enemy, never have, but in the past it was used as a crutch for unresolved emotions. That is no longer the case! I highly recommend PN coaching. It’s a great tool to help guide, motivate and counsel you in the pursuit of overall better health and obtaining balance in your life.”

“If you listen when your body whispers, you won’t have to hear it scream.” ✨
I was reminded of this beautiful quote today while talking with a friend and it couldn’t be more true.
When I was constantly dieting and trying to lose weight, my body was screaming at me but I couldn’t hear it. ✨
I couldn’t hear it because I never gave myself the space to hear it talking to me, whispering to my head and my heart.
Once I finally gave myself the space to listen, things changed in such a way that I never could have imagined. ✨
So do you give yourself space during the day for your body to whisper to you?
OR do you wait till it’s screaming blue in the face and about to pass out because you’re either not listening or your ignoring it...
Share this post to your story and tag @detoxingwithdani if you know you need to start listening but just don’t know how. ✨
I’ll be giving away a FREE breakthrough call to one person who shares this post to their story.

Merrrrrr as pretty as this pic is I don’t think I can’t eat cauliflower anymore (again). Any low FODMAP folks out there 🙋🏾♀️ slide into my DMs, let’s chat about it 😫 #EatFoodBeHappy
Note: This is NOT a before and after weight loss photo. Not even close.
If you had to guess, which photo would you assume I was eating more calories in? The left? Because gaining weight is done by eating more calories than you burn, right? Calories in vs. calories out is a thing? ▪️
Nope. It’s not. At least, it’s not ALL of the story. In the photo on the left, I was eating a very strict, anti-inflammatory, #paleo diet and not really eating much food at all because I just didn’t feel good. This was probably one of the points in my life where I was eating the smallest amount of food on a daily basis and yet I weighed the most I ever had. BUT, I was sick. I was toxic from exposure to mold, dealing with incredibly high inflammation from that toxicity, my adrenals were tanked, my hormones were a mess, I wasn’t sleeping well, I had zero energy, I was dealing with leptin resistance from #moldillness, and I had a bacterial infection in my gut. ▪️
Photo on the right (now): I eat SO much! I’m #keto, but I don’t fast. I eat 3 full, high fat meals per day plus a snack usually. I have no idea how many calories it is, but I can tell you, without hesitation, it is way more than I’ve ever eaten. I’m satisfied, I love my meals, I don’t walk around hungry all the time, I have awesome workouts because I’m fueled appropriately. I’m also healthy and balanced now. No more toxicity, inflammation, adrenal dysfunction, or wonky hormones. I sleep well every night, I have energy, my gut is healed. ▪️
Once I realized I wanted health over anything else and started eating ALL the nourishing keto foods I could, THAT is when things changed. My health started shifting first, then (months later) my body started its shift back to its happy, healthy weight too. And I didn’t have to starve myself, count calories or macros, spend hours at the gym. I just had to keep focusing on getting healthy and finding joy. That’s it.
I share this story frequently because I think it’s a #mindset shift that needs repetition to sink in. Find your health, find your joy. Allow your body to find that place too on its own time. And please, don’t punish it. #dietsdontwork#eatmorefood#ketolifestyle

On the final week of my junior year of college, my friends & I ventured out to find the infamous “Blue Hole”—aka, the insta-worthy swimming hole in one of the nearby rivers. 🏊♀️ 💦 .
Yes, that’s what you do for fun when you go to school where the population is a 1:1 ratio of student: livestock. 😂 🐮
Anywho, we never found the swimming hole (note: apparently there’s more than 1 blue hole in VA’s river system…) What DID we find? 👇🏽
Cows, lots of them (thus verifying my population suspicions…^^ 🐄). Before we got moooo’ving back to campus, I snapped this pic with a rather uninterested cow. 🙌🏽
I tell you this because 1️⃣Quality memories. And 2️⃣Because the journey to re-learning & building back trust with your intuitive self is a lot like this one.
You have a general idea of where you’re headed because you’ve heard others talk about it, but the map has more than one destination & can sometimes be difficult to decipher. 🧐
Each experience will feel a little different & many times you’ll find yourself saying, “well, this wasn’t exactly how I planned it…” —but at the end of the day, that’s okay because your success is measured by joy & self-kindness…not by your ability to follow a rigid plan. ✨
In other words, can you still have fun with & learn from the cow selfie…even though you were expecting the cool swimming hole? I know we sure did 😉Double tap if you’re sure as heck trying to 🙌🏽❤️

Rock shrimp tempura aka bang bang shrimp is one of my go to items at a sushi spot if I want to splurge on an indulgent warm appetizer. I'm so excited that I found a recipe that I was able to adjust to have a large portion (this is only half) for dinner for only 7SP! The best part? I made them in the air fryer in 8 min!
I used tapioca flour and egg to coat the shrimp and popped them in the air fryer for 4 minutes of each side. The 2nd batch I did for 10 min all together and got thr same result. The sauce is a mixture of paleo mayo, hot sauce and thai chili sauce. SO GOOD! There are probably more ways to cut the pts if you use light mayo, etc but I like the real thing 😁

feeling really freaking grateful for the marathon of speaking events that’s coming during the second half of this week. I LOVE my virtual clients and wouldn’t trade the flexibility they give me, but there’s just something about being in a room, sharing knowledge, and seeing light bulbs go off in people’s heads that I can’t get enough of 💡
Finished Day 2 of AIP. This isn’t too far off from what I’d eat in my normal Paleo lifestyle, it’s just missing a little sauce. I’m still figuring out a couple of tricks with AIP cooking, and I’m sure making a complaint AIP Ranch will be in the works. Luckily, the fresh green onion added a bit of flavor pop to this meal. @syattfitness literally just blowing it out of the water with this one.
Amazing physiques aren't built with motivation. They are built with determination.
Nobody wants to train and eat nutriously all the time.
I have more days than not where I want to just sit down with the pint of Ben and Jerry's and watch Netflix. But that wont move me forward.
Each step you take moves you forward.
Stop waiting to be motivated and just take that first step.

I resolved to make some new dishes this week for #mywhole30. I made the ginger shrimp and zucchini noodle stir fry from the @whole30 Fast & Easy Cookbook. It turned out very good and will definitely be going in the dinner rotation. I made the zoodles with a slicer I bought at the fair last summer. #whole30#foodfreedom#zoodles

The dieting mindset is one of scarcity. A common thing for folks to do is to remove the food they might feel out of control around (creating a scarcity environment). And while this may seem logical, we can't avoid said food altogether. So what might happen? 🤷♀️ Perhaps you tell yourself that you can't have xyz, only to go overboard with it when you do eat it, feel miserable, and go back to restricting? If this resonates with you. there is another way👇🏼⠀
A non-dieting mindset knows that they have FULL PERMISSION to eat all foods, if and when they feel like it. Simply giving permission chips away at the good-food bad-food, black-and-white mentality. This might look like bringing cookies back into your house so that you have them at all times 🍪 Over time, those cookies may become less exciting, and also less forbidden. This process allows you to stop putting certain foods on a pedestal, while exploring things like: if you actually like that food, when you want it, and how it makes you feel. It's non-judgmental and curious 🤗⠀
Also, just want to add that this process is hard, it takes time, and the most important thing you can do is be compassionate with yourself❤️⠀
p.s. If you're interested - I made a free download with 4 steps to start healing your relationship with food & your bod - link in my bio!
longwinded post ahead —— Day 16: I added oatmeal back into my diet because it keeps my gut happy. (Nathan did too) I don’t see this as a failure even though it was re-introduced early, I see this as #FoodFreedom because it was a conscious decision for health reasons. Backstory: I’ve had chronic gut problems since I was really little and I’ve struggled for decades to figure out how to manage with only mild success. After suffering from awful GERD after our wedding (stress + unhealthy food) and seeing a new GI, things started to improve with her recommendations. Then once I got off all my medicine, things were for once amazing - NORMAL! Then a week into this round of the #whole30, I started struggling again and it got worse after week 2; I was back to how things had been. It made me realize my gut needs the grains to stay happy and so I’ll be traditional Whole30 with eating grains (in moderation, probably only oatmeal and maybe rice) from here on out and for future Whole30s. #personal#whole30roundwhatever

@smartypants this is an open letter to your complaints department.
I bought these babies off of @iherb for the first time and boy was I in for a surprise.
These bastards smell and taste like CANDY.
Every morning when I open up this jar to give the kids their supplements I'm hit with an overwhelming smell of glorious, sugary sweets.
Which of course makes me want to devour the bottle myself. I mean, what a tease!
And how am I suppose to explain to a toddler that she CANT EAT THE ENTIRE BOTTLE IN INE SITTING when I have a hard enough time trying to pry the bottle out of my own hands.
Guys, it's going to cost me a fortune just to keep up our supply or I'll have to give in and buy a stash of ACTUAL lollies to distract them from the more expensive, nutrient dense stuff 😂
What have I gotten myself into.

I definitely foresee myself making this banana bread again in the near future 🤩 best part - no added sugar
•2 large or 3 medium very ripe bananas (the more ripe, the sweeter!)
•1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
•1/4 cup nut butter
•1 tsp vanilla extract
•1/4 cup coconut flour
•1/4 cup almond flour
•1/2 tsp baking powder
•1/4 tsp baking soda
•1/2 tsp cinnamon
•Dash sea salt
•Optional add-ins: walnuts, chocolate chips, raisins
Preheat oven to 350F. Combine dry ingredients and wet ingredients in separate bowls. Add dry mixture to wet and mix thoroughly. Line loaf tin with parchment paper or grease with coconut oil. Add batter to tin, place in oven, bake for about 30 minutes. A knife should come out clean after inserting into bread. Allow to cool before slicing ✨
My whole life I wanted to be small, because I told myself that if I was small that would equate to happiness.
Even as recent as last year that was my mind set. I remember asking friends to do 400 calorie cardio every. single. gym. sesh (which I did not find enjoyable) just because I loved seeing the scale going down! Do not get me wrong, I now use the scale as a general guide line but there is SO much it does not tell you. Do not be a prisoner to the scale.
Fast forward 1 year and I would rather be enjoying my workouts and having FUN while getting fit. Because if you aren’t enjoying the now, while getting to your goals, what’s the point? Never again will I be measure my happiness by the number on the scale.
Take a moment and think of some thing you love about yourself!💛
Optimal health is not the ultimate goal.〰️
It’s a stepping stone on our individual paths towards fulfillment, purpose and enlightenment.💫
Without our health, we often can think of nothing else but getting healthy. 🤧
When we feel tired, lethargic, heavy, sick, or bloated we can’t function in our daily lives like we truly desire. We cannot become aligned with the energy of our highest selves.
True, lasting, holistic health must come from our unique internal motivation.
Why we want to have more energy. What will we be able to DO, to accomplish, to plan and take action on??
Optimal, glowing, radiant health=more joy, more motivation, more FLOW, more downloads, more LIFE to experience 🔥 🔥 🔥
🔥What does radiant health look and FEEL like to you??
Paleo Orange Chicken with sautéed leeks for this Tuesday that felt so much like a Monday. (Anyone else?) All I could think about today was a turkey bacon club! 🤤... when I was younger, a sandwich with a handful of kettle chips stuffed in it always seemed like the best idea lol! My cauliflower cheese bombs were quite the hit, so I decided to try them in the air fryer yesterday and YUM💯
they had the crispiest outside and cheesy/goooey inside. I served them with honey mustard (just combined @sirkensingtons dijon and some honey)🍯
I saved tutortials for both oven and air fryer method to my “cauli 🧀 bomb” highlight, you can also find the full recipes on my blog!
Have you guys tried replacing cream cheese for skyr on your bagels?! It’s kind of awesome 👌 I’m talking @icelandicprovisions blueberry skyr, on a blueberry bagel... topped with blueberries 😅 YES you must try this blueberry heaven. I love this breakfast because it’s packed with good carbs and over 17g of protein thanks to Icelandic Provisions - I am satisfied for HOURS when adding the protein packed skyr to my breakfast.
TELL ME: What’s your favorite way to enjoy skyr?! Have you changed things up lately or do you stick with your routine?
