We’ve officially signed Rhoen up for soccer! Crossing my fingers she finds joy in this activity! We’ve already been through dance, and that was not for my child with no rhythm. Wish us luck for her first go Saturday!

Do you know what it feels like when you go through your photos and find a gold nugget. Here is another one of those gold nuggets. Noelle and I worked together last summer and when going through my photos, I found this and wonder why it was still in my files, unedited. . 👱🏼♀️ @__hernameisnoelle__
It was NYE. I woke up and had this sudden urge to NOT be at home for the ball drop. Call me crazy, but both our kids are born the end of September, do the math, we’ve had some good at home NYE’s parties... 😏
Anyways- so I jumped online, searched places high and low for a room, oh and dog friendly of course bc who will watch the rat last minute? I stumbled upon one of Floridas top rated beaches, Siesta Key, Florida. The softest white powdery sand and eclectic bars and beach shops on the main strip. Walking distance to everything. Who doesn’t love a good stroll in a beach town while people watching? I’ve traveled there before, all wonderful experiences to write in the books- so it all seemed to fall perfectly into place. Then- the kicker- I found an establishment called Siesta Key Beachside Villas. I called, booked a villa DOG FRIENDLY REMIND YOU, and boom. I came back in jumping up on the furniture dancing and screaming at my family to “hurry UP and pack! We’re going out of town!” Chris looked at me like I was crazy. But guess what? He knows the Queen has it all under control. 😏Last minute travel has always been my thing, everything always works. It makes life a smidgen more exciting 🤷🏼♀️ Here’s a shot of the gorgeous beach we stayed at. I highly recommend our location. You would be a fool not to stay at this beachy cool place! The cottages have everything you need... but the most important to me is always the location, and this is right dab in the middle of all the action with a side of chill. It’s perfect.
We've been off and on keto this month. That wasn't the plan but it's what happened. Been traveling this month due to family issues but this weekend was about my husband and I. It was our first wedding anniversary together and we got to go to Daytona Beach. We wanted to not do keto and just enjoy the different foods. However we definitely missed our now normal eating habits and noticed how our food habits have changed since we started keto. Now that our last planned trip is over we are back to keto! Well my dad and husband are. I want to stay on it unless my cardiologist deems it otherwise. We shall see tomorrow. Lol how's everyone else doing with their start of the new year? Are you where you want to be? Or have you been struggling to stay with it like us?

Forget the snowy tundra of upstate NY. Take me back to Cocoa Beach! Two years ago today hubby and I jetted out of town for a nice 4 day weekend in sunny Florida. Long weekends are just one of the ways we make the most of limited vacation time while still holding down 9-5 jobs.
