🍦Huuummm... Ainda quero provar todos! Sim, sou a louca do Whey! 🙋🏻♀️🤪

9 Mile Sunday!
5 k @firecracker10k @ 7:11 Pace
+6 miles at the bowl @ 8:01 Pace
Firecracker is no joke and such a hilly course, but oh so much fun!! Thanks to @_maeeee It’s always such a great way to bring in lunar new year. I wish I didn’t have to rush back to @basecamppasadena! .
Also, side note, so glad to have run all the miles before it started raining again in SoCal. I don’t even know if this is SoCal anymore, it’s been raining so much! 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ getting ready for all the east coast races this year!
What a beautiful sunny day.☀️ I just had to go for a run!🏃♂️ Especially after all the food 🍰 I had this weekend.😄 At the moment I’m definitely eating to much and I’ve noticed that besides muscles I put on some weight in general too. But hey that’s alright! 😁 It will go down again. I just need to be more disciplined again during the end of the week and the weekend and work out a little bit more.✌️😎 Enough about me. How are you doing???💪💪

so the Harvard track got redone! I loveddddd the old track and didn’t think it could get any better but I guess I was wrong! year 4 at Harvard in the books and with a 5:17 mile pr, I’d say it was the best trip yet. the first time I raced at Harvard in 2016, I was a 6th grader running in only my second ever track race. Today, 3 years and manyyyy races later, I’m a freshman in high school heading to NBN in a few weeks. It was a great race with my friend Chloe and I got to see so many friends from the NH running community! coming back to Harvard every year reminds me of what is important in running-not winning a ton of races but making PROGRESS no matter how slow. The only person you should strive to beat is yourself. It took me a while to learn that, and I still sometimes forget it, but it’s helped me become more successful🏃🏻♀️🌟💪🏼
A vida é curta, meus amigos.
Coisas boas acontecem. •be love•
Great run today mixed in with some #sprinting intervals to get me lit. Best mental push I’ve had in a while.
We always talk about planning, meal prep, and the dreaded question “how many reps?” But at the end of the day you will know when you’ve truly pushed yourself to #growth
Had an amazing time this weekend with these guys! Ran my first marathon and first trail marathon! @bottenhornrunning, @patxgates and I all raced the Pilot Mountain Marathon in Pilot Mountain State Park, NC! Ended up with 4:10 and a 5th place overall finish. Congrats to Mark on a 2nd place finish and Pat for a 17th place finish in his first marathon!
The course was very technical with rocks, roots, boulders, and a large set of approximately 1000 rock steps varying in height and levelness going around the very peak of the mountain. It had rained all morning and the first 15 min of our race so the trails were muddy and slick. We had to run the whole course twice through. The first time through wasn’t so bad and I stayed with Mark and the 1st place finisher but once we started the stair climb at the peak of the mountain the second time through my quads felt like they were on fire. I was able to fight through the pain and lightheadedness with the help of some @spring_energy endurance gels and managed to traverse the rocky terrain the remaining 12 miles of my race. I pushed through and finished well.
It was definitely a tough first marathon but I’m happy I did it and I’m looking forward to the next one! When I was able to look around, the views of the trail and the overlook from the mountain were amazing! It was an amazing experience. I’ve always loved running trails and this was a pretty fantastic trail.
This afternoon, I took a visit to @londoncityrunners venue for an event with @train_brave 💭
“TRAINING BRAVE - Athletes & coaches talking more; to share concerns & ask for help 🙏🏻 To fuel training sufficiently, to recognise warning signs of disordered behaviour & reduce the risks of overtraining 🏃🏼♂️ Hoping to inspire athletes/coaches by sharing stories, raising awareness & to provide resources. Ensuring athletes are valued & that they are worth more than their times & performances.” 🙌🏻
❕- Words taken from their website - ❕
An incredible & informative evening... Hoping that it inspires us to talk more & to understand the likes of RED’s (relative energy deficiency in sports) & OTS (over training syndrome) as it is a LOT more common than you may think 🖤
If you feel you may be affected or would like more information on what I wrote about, please do not hesitate to get in contact with the people at #TRAINBRAVE (or DM me) for more information 💜
