Has trying to lose weight got you down? 🙇🏼♀️🙍🏽♀️🙅🏻♀️ .
As women we often believe if I just lost couple kgs I’ll feel better and it becomes this unattainable goal 🥺
What I have learnt is the decision to feed my body what it loves and thrives off (raw diet) 🥗🍗🍳🥑🥦🍇🍋🥬🥒🥕 then you start feeling good, have more energy, better digestion and it unlocks weight loss 🤩
This has been a journey for me over the last couple of years, making little changes along the way to becoming a way off life.
Comment below if this is a journey you’re on and how it’s going or are you wanting to start and need a hand 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
Life Hack: Happiness doesn't mean having everything that you want. It's about being grateful for what you already have.
Bad stuff is going to happen but the beautiful thing is that we get to choose how to respond.
Let me be clear though I am not preaching resilience. I am also talking about the importance of recognising when certain things in your life need to chance.
Today I had a lay in, hurrah! Macie woke up at 6, so bill took her down stairs and I slept until half 8! Today was the first time since 11/1 that I slept for over 8 hours (only by 3 minutes but it counts 😂). We went to the gym this morning, finally bill came with me after his illness. After lunch bill spent the afternoon in the garden finally sorting that out, it was just chaos out there. It looks so much better now, still loads that needs to be done though, so thats next weekends job, maybe 😂. -
Breakfast today was an amazing little find I had the other day. Chocolate peanut butter poptarts! I found the peanut butter salty, like in the Oreos and dairy milk chocolate, not that it’s a bad thing. These were rather yummy! I also had an arla yoghurt.
I was starving after the gym and we still had ages until lunch, so I had salted caramel frostino from Costa. Seeing as it’s milkshake season it would be rude not to. I literally lived off frostinos when I was pregnant 😂.
Lunch was a stack! This time my hot cross bun French toast was blueberry themed. Two Blueberry hot cross buns, with galaxy spread and blueberries. Yummy!
Dinner was left over salmon from yesterday, tomato and cucumber. I also made asparagus and mozzarella parcels with leftover pastry. These turned out really nice, I will definitely make again!
I then finished off my yorkie and raisin Easter egg while we watched game of thrones, that didn’t last long 😂. -
Total calories for the day 2,907 with 110g of protein. A bit over calories today, it’s still kind of Easter, so it’s fine 😂. Gym today was a bit of a compound day, I’ve not done strength in so long and I could tell! My upper body lifts weren’t bad, but the lower body ones suffered. I struggle with power in the mornings, it takes me a while to wake up and get myself going. Seeing as we will now be doing strength in the mornings it might take me a while to build it back up. -
Today we celebrate our 1st week of breastfeeding success together 🤱🏻✌🏼🥳 Breastfeeding was one the hardest, toughest and most emotional thing I gone through 😭. I had to admit I was an emotional mess for first few couple of days when we got home from the hospital because I couldn’t breastfeed and the midwife wasn’t there to help me latch her on. I felt like the biggest failure being a mum but thank you to all my amazing supermum friends that was there to support me through this time 🥰💕Your wise words and adviced was everything I needed to hear been a first time mum and what I was going through. I couldn’t thank you enough for all your love and support ❤️ Remember, your not alone on this journey, someone has been through what you have been through. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and advice, that what I have learnt so far! 😊

✨38 weeks Pregnant🤰🏻vs 3weeks Postpartum🤱🏻✨ I’ll be honest and have to say I feel really vulnerable and insecure showing these photos but I have to remember it will be a great part of my journey.
Today, I joined the 30 day challenge with #24fitclubregentspark and I am excited to have a supportive community that will help keep me accountable so I can achieve my next 30day goals.
Taking it slow with no exercise and just focusing on my nutrition program for this challenge because of csection I still have to be in recovery mode even through I think I can go back to the gym 🏋🏻♀️ but my OB said not as yet until my next check up clearance 🤷🏻♀️ Guess it will be walks in the park with Mia until the next OB appt #3weekspostpartum #postpartumfitness #csectionrecovery
“You may have more skills than me, but, you won’t outwork me. I’m not afraid to die on a treadmill.” I heard this on one of the YouTube motivational videos I listen to in the mornings, and I cracked up, probably more than I should have. It sounded like Will Smith saying it, IDK. But, how true! I will work myself to the death before I just give up. Lol. You gotta have a strong desire to be successful and make things happen, or life is gonna knock you on your arse. I want to die after just about every one of my workouts these days, but, I wouldn’t have it any other way. That’s when I know I’ve had a successful workout session. When you feel like you can’t give one more, give 3! #hittworkout#athomeworkoutswork#fitishmom#equestrianfitness#whatsyourwhy#knowyourwhy#pushthelimits#crushyourgoals
Epic Easter weekend ❤ enjoying all my favourite things and mostly living outside 🌳☉ It's amazing what mother nature can do for the soul, I love taking time out to reflect, to 'fill my cup' and get a renewed sense of direction and focus🌈
2 points I want to make with this post:
1. You don't have to have an hour workout. You don't even need it to be half an hour. This one was 8 minutes. After work at 9.30pm. Any workout is better than no workout and sometimes you just won't have time. Mums, parents, busy people, whatever: you've got to be ok with your workout not being under the perfect conditions.
2. I like to mix in the rehabby, boring AF exercises (that I HATE) for my still recovering abdominal muscles (as well as some stretching) in with the conditioning stuff that gets my heart rate high (and that I actually enjoy). You don't HAVE to split them up.
For me, this works. I don't cry from boredom, I get the tedious stuff done when I would need to rest and bring my heart rate down anyway. Efficient AND effective.
Working with mums over the years i have lots of little tricks up my sleeve to get the job done. Coming in handy with my own recovery and return to fitness.
