Just doing some LISS on my parent's treadmill in my work clothes...no big deal 😛. I forgot workout clothes, and since it's just a leisurely walk on the treadmill I figured...meh 🤷.
Slowly starting to feel like I'm back, and it's becoming easier to make healthy food choices and get my activity in each day 😊.
Introduced some of my teacher friends to our new program today. Now they are just my colleagues...🤪
I kid, I kid! We were all challenged. We all modified. We all survived. And we are all still friends...I think. 😉
And that was just today’s bonus workout. ☺️ I am overwhelmed by the thought that this is only Day 4. Not even a week in + my limits are being pushed, my walls are breaking down, my strength is being challenged. When I pushed go on this morning’s workout at home in my family room, the first words my trainer said were “negativity destroys your power.” From that moment on, I was not only physically invested in the next 20 minutes, but emotionally invested as well. Many times during the workout—and especially after the finally drill that you can scroll to see ➡️—I burst into tears. They weren’t #strugglebus tears. They were “nothing is destroying my power!” tears. And when I went in for a second round with these pretty girls this afternoon, I set that intention for all of us: our power is ours. #positivevibesforever 🙌🏻
Be okay with the struggle. Be okay with emotion. Be okay with letting life in + confronting all the challenges that come with it. And be ok with inviting your friends along for the journey. 💗✌🏻
A peek 👀 into training sessions .
Hi guys, 👋 I have been pretty MIA with my posting this month, but I'm hereeee. 🙋🏻♀️ It has been a busy month for me, finishing up my internship with Marvelous, training clients, 📖 studying, packing, and leading some corporate seminars 👩🏫 (Yes! These are new. And Yes! I'm having such a blast with them 🚀). Don't worry though, I still make lots of time to train hard and make gains. 🏋️♀️ . 💁♀️ These deficit deads could be beneficial to add to your programming if you're having trouble with the initial pull in your deadlifts. 🙌 They do an awesome job of recruiting muscles from your butt 🍑 and hammies hehe 💪 .

That moment you know you’re missed... I mean, let’s be real...We ALL say, “I miss you!” But do we ALL really mean it?! This move has been more of a struggle for me than I’d like to admit. I came here not knowing anyone. I ONLY know my Indiana life. I came with an open mind and open heart. I’m adjusting. I’m learning that I can be happy in a state where I knew no one (well, I mean, maybe one or two people...but they aren’t that close 😉). And I’m learning that I DID have an impact on people back at home! I’m learning that I am missed!
I got the sweetest gift with a message of appreciation for me. For me being me. For me accepting my friend @jpjdejavu in my tribe. A message that overwhelmed my heart and made me cry a little!

If your goals aren't aligned with your desires then you are going to struggle.
When thinking about setting a goal make sure they motivate you and you have congruence with them.
Setting a goal because it is what you think you should do but you don't have any emotional attachment to is a sure fire way not to achieve them.
These goals should be ones that you enjoy the processes of as well as the end result!

ASDA Nutrition Cherry Yogurt Protein bar

I went on the hunt for smart PhD bars in ASDA, and sadly they had no dark chocolate raspberry and I'm not keen on the other flavours. I thought I would take a chance on Asda's own version and at half the price - £1.25, I didn't think I had much to lose. Smart PhD bars generally cost £2.49 each, unless they're on offer.
So, I'll start first with:.
The bar looked nice on first glance and very similar to the higher priced brand. It has a nice crunch with just enough cherry sauce and a nice firm nougat centre. In fact I couldn't help but notice how strikingly similar this product's texture is to the smart PhD bar.
The 'chocolate' covering is really nice! Smooth & passes for chocolate (although they don't claim it to be anything other than yogurt coating). Not gritty at all, super creamy.
The rice crisps add a nice crunch contrast and the nougat is not to stodgy, not too soft and is substantial enough to help keep you satiated.
There's no horrible aftertaste with the bar and had I not have known they were a supermarket own brand, I easily would have put this side by side with its 'double the price counterparts'.
I genuinely thought that the own brand bar would be unable to compete with the nutrition of leading brands. What can say? WOW! The macros are almost identical, and I'm sure a natural fluctuation across different flavours- even same favours of the same brand is to be expected..
✔SUMMARY - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
In summary, an excellent choice of protein bar which tastes great, is the same size as leading brands but at half the price, wins the contest hands down. I can't wait to see what other flavours the ASDA team have up their sleeves! Good job ASDA .

Today was a rest day but during one of my sessions with clients, I decided to have a go at Bar Muscle ups.. I’ve been feeling good about them this week and have been itching to see if I was able to do one unassisted so tonight hit me up with a SPONTANEOUS PB! Okay, a bit of a chicken wing, flinstone kicking muscle up. BUT the 2019 goals are in reach, and this is just the first! Looking at Monday excuses like... So quick story time here. My morning affirmation this morning was "I seek out interactions with people who inspire and empower me". Then I put on my swole sister shirt and hit the gym with an open heart.
Guess who I saw!! This powerhouse @getfitwithashley_ I had to go say hi and creepily tell her I love following her on Instagram.
A chance meeting turned into an immediate friendship in less than an hour! After 2.5 years of searching I think I may have found my lifting sister!! If you arent following her you are missing out! Such a beautiful soul and inspirational AF. 2019 you are treating me well. I promise to return the favor!
