Instagram is full of fake people. Transplants, botox, that lip thing birds do (and guys too I guess 🤷♂️), photoshop all that fucking nonsense. All displaying u realistic images. We are all different in our weird and wonderful ways. We need to embrace that shit.
I admit it took me a while to accept I was losing my hair until I said 'fuck it, it is what it is' and accepted that it really ain't a thing.
The world pours crap towards us manipulating our thoughts into thinking we should look a certain way. Don't listen to that bullshit.
There's so many ways you can be positive about yourself so focus on that rather than beating yaself up for no reason... like my bald head... kinda makes me look more like Jason Statham... (kinda 😋)

“We are allowed to be soft and strong and fierce and fragile. There is magic in our ability to bend without breaking and to rise above without falling. We have always been more than enough. Not to much or to little; but enough.” - Alex Elle
FULL BODY KETTLEBELL 🤸♂️
Ladder Sets (incrementing reps by 1).
1 Rep to start, work up to 5.
3 push ups in-between each set.
Solid rest between each round.
KB's used - 20kg 🏋️♂️
Why no ladder on the push ups tho!?
I wanted to the active rest the same between each set to increase difficulty.
FUN FACT! Still do the same amount of reps of KB and push ups per set.... 🤯 I know....
Don’t mind if I do...
Couple days off in Brighton got me feeling fresh. Sometimes all you need is a short breakaway from the bustle...
Now we back on the hustle 💥
👀 You may have seen the latest huge study on carbs which was all over the news yesterday. This meta-analysis looked at a total of 432,179 people, combining the results of 8 large studies to look at the link between carbohydrate intake and risk of death.
People eating a “moderate” carb diet (50-55% of calories from carbs) had the lowest mortality risk.
Low carb diets + animal fat & protein such as chicken, beef, pork and lamb = higher mortality.
Low carb diets + plant protein & fat intake from sources such as whole grains, vegetables, legumes, fruits and nuts = lower mortality. People choosing plant sources of fat and protein had an 18% lower risk of dying. This isn’t really news, as we have several other large studies that had already confirmed this. Indeed, the source of food (animals or plants) has a strong impact between carbohydrate intake & mortality. Once again, we get more science-based evidence showing that diets high in animal fat and protein lead to higher risk of disease & mortality.
High-carb diets: it is *crucial* to note that this study was primarily conducted in populations that rely on nutrient-poor refined grains such as white flour and white rice, NOT focusing on carb-rich diets that are based in healthy whole plant foods such as whole grains, vegetables and legumes. We already know from an abundance of research that healthful plant-based diets which are carb-rich and based in whole foods prevent a myriad of diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, & cancer, as well as promoting general well-being and longevity.
✔Don’t obsess about the terms “carb”, “fats” and “proteins,” as what really matters is what actual foods you eat and where the nutrients are coming from.
✔Fats and proteins are healthier from plant sources.
✔Don’t be afraid of “carbohydrates.” If the carbs come from highly processed foods, then you’re worse off eating more of them, but if they are from healthy foods such as whole grains, fruits, legumes, and veggies, these are all great for us 👌🏽
✔Just eat plants, focusing on whole foods and the less-processed ones 💪🏽🌱

Okay okay, there’s some things that matter A LOT! But most things that we bog ourselves down with, are trivial. As I say in session, if you don’t get that PB or manage the whole run without a break...it ain’t that serious, relax!

FIND YOUR BALANCE. ✌🏻🍉🍺
There's so many people, companies, adverts etc telling you the do's and dont's of exercise, diets, what to eat, what not to etc. So how do you know what's right for you? 🤔
The answer's simple, what ever makes you happy. No point doing a diet or strict exercise routine if you don't enjoy it.
Find the right balance of food and exercise for you, be patient and don't beat ya self if you fuck up. Just get back on track the next day.
No one's perfect so no point worrying that you aren't either!
If you aren't laughing on the regs...
If you're putting on weight...
If you aren't sleeping right...
If you aren't exercising as much as you'd like...
If you aren't seeing your friends much...
If you don't like looking in the mirror...
If you aren't as happy as you'd like...
If you struggle to find the time to do...
If you aren't seeing results...
YOUR BALANCE IS OFF. Think about what's causing your imbalance and change it. You won't regret it.
Just when I thought I could sneak in to @1rebeluk incognito & put it into cruise control - having scoffed a mega lunch - @workouts_and_wine85, @joshtdadds and reshape royalty @kimmayco (who was in proper race mode FYI) make an appearance.
I’ve never been so close to it being a case of lunch on my lycra 🤭
