In case you’re wondering, i am not dead yet not feeling really alive too. Still feeling the exhaustion of last couple of weeks so i literally have zero energy to actually “do” something. Today was like a remedy though, for the first time in a long period, i didn’t have any exam to study, things to worry. I just sat down & read Sarah Knight’s “Life Changing Magic of Not Giving A F*ck”
Then hit the gym, which was a bust so after a couple of failed trials, i kept my last resistance training for tomorrow and did some cardio instead. 35 minutes of LISS & 15 minutes of HIIT followed by 10 minutes of cool down. #bbgstronger#bbgweek4
Now i’m going to make myself something like this= tuna & veggies salad. Probably will look so much worse and mixed up than this one but sure it’ll taste heavenly. #dinner

Applying Progressive Overload, i.e getting STRONGER over time, is the #1 LAW of muscle growth. If you're not getting stronger, you're probably not building muscle. Now on the contrary to popular belief, lifting more weight is NOT the only way to get stronger. There are multiple ways to apply PO, and these are the main 4...⠀
Now I think these are pretty much self-explanatory so they don't need an explanation in this caption. ⠀
However, I just need to make something clear. The stronger you get (which is a training thing, not a nutrition thing), the more muscle you'll have. It's not the other way around. Naturally the more muscle you have, the more you're able to lift. ⠀⠀
Now strength isn't just about the amount of muscle you have. It's also about how much of that muscle you can recruit to lift weights for you, and that's on your nervous system. The better you get at an exercise, the stronger you'll naturally get at it without necessarily having more muscle. That's a neurological adaptation.⠀
Bottom line, strength is a SKILL to be aquired. Get better at the exercise, increase weight and reps in the short term, and increase volume (sets) in the long term. That's how you get stronger AND build muscle. ⠀⠀

I can’t even express how much I move this sport. I feel like it’s the best outlet for me to be the woman i want to be. I want to be strong, inspiring, tough, beautiful, relentless, courageous and happy (goofy). This sport has let me be those things and more. It has help me overcome many insecurities & doubts. May they sometimes be there, I have learned to deal/destroy them!.
I look forward to the future and work hard every day to make it what i want!.
