You don’t need the kettle, blender, coffee machine, toaster and vase of fake lemons on your kitchen counters nor do you need a fancy cotton pad holder, straightener, blow dryer, and facial products on your bathroom counter. It clutters the space. Store it away and take it out when you need it. This is a key habit to adopt from day one!
🌟If you want to make home improvements, think about the resale return on it. You want to get rid of the popcorn ceilings? Please do! It’s outdated, attracts dust and I promise it’ll be the first thing a buyer notices when they walk through your door.
🌟Careful with your paint colours and accent walls. Neutral is best. They make all the difference when selling your home and save you both time and money by eliminating having to repaint your walls before putting your house on the market.
🌟Curb appeal!!! We’ve been taught to never judge a book by its cover but your house has a very little time frame to make its best impression. It’s the first thing people see and can translate to how you take care of the inside of your home! Maintain your lawn, do a little gardening, and please do not paint your garage door and front door different colours. 🤦🏻♀️

Testimony Time 🙏🏽I decided back in 2017 that I would achieve my dreams of becoming a homeowner by all means necessary and would accomplish this goal in 1 year. .
So, I decide to dedicate my efforts on accomplishing this goal the entire year of 2018. I begin with a budgeting class, that was offered by my church @victoryatl. This class was about 2 months long, and this was the first step I took into becoming Home Owner and Debt Free.
I then downsized and was able to cut my living expenses down in half. I created a budget ( something I never did before 🤣) and was able to pay off and settle over $20,00 in debt in less than 6 Months 🎉 and was able to increase my credit score significantly.
I then used the other 6 Months to save up for my down payment, along with paying off all my debt except my car 🙌🏽 Ya girl is almost debt free! .
The greatest thing about it, was that I became a Home Owner exactly 1 from year later, from beginning the “Budgeting Class” at church.
Now, here I’am 4 Months later at 32 a first time Homeowner and I couldn’t be anymore happier!
I share my story not to boost or brag but to let you know that whatever you dream of is ACHIEVABLE 🎉
This one is for all my fellow Single Moms out there. Keep your head up and keep pushing girl. You got this! ( I’m literally in tears writing these last few sentences). If I can do it so can you! I just want to see everybody win.
