"Children are great imitators so give them something great to imitate." There is fewer better ways to teach than to show an example. Live what you preach. Children in particular are great at observing and imitating and I have noticed my own behaviours when they have been mirrored by my children. This doesn't only apply to little children though! You can set an example for anyone! There is a lot of "this is just how it is done" in the field of animal training and care. Often it is passed down to people through personal example rather than objective information and when the examples given are uniform, there is no reason for a person to doubt that "this is the way it is done." Dogs need to be "alfa rolled" to show them who is the "pack leader." Horses learn through release of pressure and giving them food for training is dangerous and stupid. Choke chains don't hurt dogs. Horses don't feel pain like we do. Responsible owners feed dogs with kibble and never give them "human food." Responsible owners always keep their horses shod with iron shoes. Be a role model to show that there are other ways to look into and explore before making a decision of what is the best way to go. It is not always easy. People are tribal and anyone percieved to be "different" and a challenge to the status quo in a smaller or larger scale is often vilified. But if you have it in you- be the change you want to see in the world. You are the stuff that history is made of 💪💖 #bethechange#bekind#revolutionize#rolemodel#makehistory
Who would have thought my time at FIDM would have paid off eventually😆 #MerchaniseMarketing FTW 🤣 so proud of my little set up. I have lived many lives already at this ripe age of 25 lol LETS KEEP IT GOIN BABES✨
All the lives I've lived so far have taught me SO much. It's amazing how these experiences are almost like a tool belt. I can reach in and pull from each experience into the next one to allow me to keep flowing in perpetual motion.
FIDM taught me that I had creativity locked away in my noggin and it was extremely important to learn how to release it.
My first big garden job taught me garden etiquette and that there were options outside of growing normal plants.
My first cannabis industry experience taught me I had potential like a mother fucker.
My last cannabis industry experience taught me to never put all my eggs in one basket.
Welcome to my 5th life, y'all. Hi, how are ya😉 So far I've learned that there is WAY more to life than just working for someone else. At least for me. There are way bigger things to worry about than what your neighbor is doing. Recognize what's going on for sure, but keep walking. We've all got a Greater purpose and it for sure isn't about controlling or bringing other people down. I've been torn down many times, not really my thing, but I'll definitely make it clear as to who I am✨
I was asked the other day about the Tupac Quote I have in my office and what my dreams are.
Yes, I am a Tupac fan not just for his music, but for his hustle, his mindset, his desire to achieve so much everyday no matter what price he had to pay for a dream that he had and believed in.
When I decided I wanted to create a business and leave my previous organization after 17years, most everyone thought I was crazy. I gave up great income, benefits, a business. I knew that in order to live my dream I have to believe in myself, not listen to the noise, I have to give up the good for the great, to create my story, and in order to do so I was ready to pay the price.
So to answer the question I was asked; I am blessed to live my dream everyday, I paid the price for it and continue to pay the price daily to live my dreams its part of the story. ✨ #sacrifices#legacy#mybrand#businesswoman#goodtogreat#ceo#workforit#stayinyourlane#levelup#firsttheylaughthentheycopy#nothingbutlove
