This week I am still curing out my sinusitis....It is hard not to do any exercises or running. Especially there is Venloop this Sunday🤗. But curing out is much better to start with some training for the marathon on the 29th of April and start right in the running season with so many cool runs in 2018. Actually I was thinking to do the marathon in Mönchengladbach (06/03/2018) as first run because I think I am good prepared for one marathon at this time... I also think the first time to do a marathon should be also with full of joy without time pressure just enjoying running 42k with all the people surround you...
Besides this photo is from shoetesting @runners_point_run_club. Still need some shoes for my marathon after April. I think ASICS with #Dynaflyt or even the #nimbus with come cushioning will be a good choice...Let me know with which pair of shoes you did your #firstmarathon and how was your preparation.
Running into the weekend! 🏃🏼♀️
It's finally here...off to London this morning with my little countryside running club (shout out Sandbach Striders) to take on the big city.
Many will know, but if you don't we are taking on the monpoly board aiming to run to each location featured - 18 miles.
If you see 25 non-city dwellers running around London in blue shirts this morning give as a shout or a wave.
Then just a little case of London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday.

Zo de deur uit voor mijn eerste hardloopmeters sinds afgelopen zondag. Topexcuus voor deze allerlaatste foto van de @utrechtmarathon. 📸: Jeem Sportsphotography
Everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of “DO THE WORK”. But for real though✌🏼 Work like you’re desperate.
Desperate for change.
Desperate for healing.
Desperate for happiness.
Desperate for the LIFE YOU WANT.
Go get ittttt 😎✌🏼
Antarctica Marathon Finisher! 🏅 A week ago, 100 brave souls set off to complete 26.2 miles in the Antarctic. Leading up to the race, we spent 3 days at sea with only 1 treadmill on board 😳 The morning of the race, we disembarked our ship on small inflatable boats (called zodiacs) and were brought ashore, touching land for the first time in days. Each runner had to bring their own nutrition and water since there were no aide stations. We also had to bring everything with us when we left. The snow picked up just as the starting gun went off and we were released into the Antarctic! The hills were tough and the snowy scenery became disorienting at times, but we made it through with the help of other runners and some cheering support of Antarctic workers in the Chilean, Russian and Chinese base camps 🤗 After we finished, we were quickly whisked back on the zodiacs and taken back to our ship to avoid hypothermia. We were lucky to have "good" weather for the run which allowed everyone to complete the race.
Big shout-out to @wonder.woder for her motivation on those last few miles, you don't know the value of human kindness until you're at the end of the Earth.
Congratulations to all the runners, especially @run.avi.run@asian_man_sean@ajdz4444 for completing a marathon on all 7 Continents!
It does not matter whether you came in first, middle of the pack, or last - because for each one - you can say:
"I HAVE FINISHED!" And there is a lot of satisfaction in that.
Yesterday was a very proud coaching moment - that I won't soon forget.
These last 13 weeks have been a journey and I am proud to call you my athlete. Congratulations on finishing your first marathon and snagging that Boston Qualifier Time 🙌🏽. Looking forward to what comes next for you. Now time to relax and recover - you deserve it!
Also, a BIG CONGRATS to all those that crossed their own finish lines this past weekend!
