This is the book trailer for my fictional, personal development book, The Power of Yet!
It’s about a young girl acquiring a financially literate, growth mindset I adopted to pay off my $30k+ student loans in one year.

Two years ago I parked the car and started riding my bike to work. I bought this beauty online used for $80. Sweet Schwinn! Through rain, snow and sun we got it done...until I saved enough to pay cash for my new Giant Roam. In those two years I've saved $5300 in gas and insurance. Not only is it saved money, it's money I put towards the retirement fund. Oh and I've lost 24 pounds..sweet deal! I'd love to hear your money saving ideas! @the_smiling_wallet
It might be spring but it is that perfect time of year to get started on knitting my autumn/winter fashion pieces and Christmas gifts.
Knitting is also somewhat therapeutic for me and it allows me a form of creative release.
These are fingerless gloves but the have enough room at the top so I can fold my fingers down if I get cold.
Any other fellow knitters in the #debtfreecommunity ?
Simple interest rate Eg. If you save $100 in an account with 5% interest rate you get $5 interest at the end of the year allowing you to withdraw $105.
Compound interest- Eg. $100 in an account with 5% interest rate you get $105 but instead of withdrawing because savings...🎉🎉 you leave it there for a second year.
And now in year 2: we earn 5% on $105 which is $5.25. So at the end of year 2 we have $110.25
If we left that $100 there and never touched it again, when we returned in say, 35 years we would have $551.60. That’s all for doing nothing but depositing $100 and walking away.
This is why interest rates matter! Imagine had this been a larger deposit!
Today get on your banks (or their competitor’s 🤷🏾♀️) website and shop around and move your savings to the account that offers the highest interest rate!
One of the top things that ruin relationships? Finding out that she's your aunt.
