☆ IS ANGST ECHT ZO'N SLECHTE RAADGEVER? ☆ .

You know how sometimes a guy can do most things right but one wrong move and you can never look past it? ✈️
That's how I feel about Samantha Young's #FightOrFlight. I love the characters, I love the friendship between Ava and Harper (💙), I love all the sex but Caleb...hmm.
Yes, I know he makes it all right in the end but it was hard for me to accept that because...well, love shouldn't hurt this much (I know, I know 🧀). 🛬
Have you read it? Let me know what you think?
👣 ONE STEP AHEAD 🐾
Sunday was mostly grey and damp, but thankfully it was just a one day off from the summerlike weather.
So last night we went down to Rye harbour again. There’s a big jetty type structure there, which rises high above the water, even when the tide is high (as it was this time). In this pic, Penguin’s standing at the far end of that jetty.
As we turned around to walk back, we saw a couple approaching, with a dog. It was a small, cute pup, but to Penguin it was still a DOG, no matter the size.
Now, this structure we were on is quite narrow, and there was no escape available. We would have to let the Beast walk past us, and it would have to get really close. There was no way around it, really 😬
As the DOG got close, I held onto Penguin and we pressed ourselves up against the railings. The DOG went past and the moment of panic was soon over, but...
If I hadn’t been holding on to Penguin, he’d very likely fallen off the jetty, as he was totally focused on the DOG and how to avoid it. And I was glad that Daddy Penguin was there too, right next to us and ready to grab Penguin if need be. Because he’s getting bigger and stronger, our boy, and there’s been a couple of times recently when he’s stopped in the middle of a road, panicked, and I’ve not been strong enough myself to move him to safety.
So we need to keep a step ahead, when we’re out and about. If there’s a dog or anything else which could make him panic, we need to see it before he does (and steer away, if possible). .
We also need to read Penguin’s body language and be prepared to catch him, and/or run along, if he sets off. This can be away from a perceived threat (such as a dog) but also towards something he likes, or because it just feels so good to run...
As Penguin’s parents, we find ourselves constantly scanning the surroundings, not only for oncoming dogs, traffic etc., but also for things which could be harmful to eat, or to touch (hot, sharp etc), and for things which could make startling noices, or things that could have an irresistable sensory appeal.
What Penguin’s senses tell him, whether they’re shouting that ‘this is really bad!’ or [cont. in comment]

A series of chance encounters leads to a sizzling new romance from the New York Times bestselling author of the On Dublin Street series.
The universe is conspiring against Ava Breevort. As if flying back to Phoenix to bury a childhood friend wasn't hell enough, a cloud of volcanic ash traveling from overseas delayed her flight back home to Boston. Her last ditch attempt to salvage the trip was thwarted by an arrogant Scotsman, Caleb Scott, who steals a first class seat out from under her. Then over the course of their journey home, their antagonism somehow lands them in bed for the steamiest layover Ava's ever had. And that's all it was--until Caleb shows up on her doorstep.
When pure chance pulls Ava back into Caleb's orbit, he proposes they enjoy their physical connection while he's stranded in Boston. Ava agrees, knowing her heart's in no danger since a) she barely likes Caleb and b) his existence in her life is temporary. Not long thereafter Ava realizes she's made a terrible error because as it turns out Caleb Scott isn't quite so unlikeable after all. When his stay in Boston becomes permanent, Ava must decide whether to fight her feelings for him or give into them. But even if she does decide to risk her heart on Caleb, there is no guarantee her stubborn Scot will want to risk his heart on her.... #books#lumeo#reads#free#download#pdf#epub#library#bookgram#readers#kindle#booklife#booklover#bookaddict#instabook#readonline#fightorflight
I own a few books from @authorsamanthayoung that I'm dying to read. Most recently is her new release Fight or Flight. I've heard nothing but great things about it and I'm hoping to read it very soon! It sounds adorable! ✈
Is it time to step up your training? I will tell you this, very few shooting videos go public, especially ones of officers or civilians missing the target. Let’s face it, real life is sensationalized by the agenda driven media, and they are more concerned about creating outrage than disseminating unbiased news. So you don’t get to see what’s really happening. There’s no surprise that when people are under stress and Adrenalin hits certain involuntary responses take place. One is the perception of time, everything appears In slow motion so in an effort to counteract that, you speed up likely without knowing it. Anyone that has been in that state can attest to that. People are firing their weapons faster then they are accustomed too but lack the skill set to manage that rate of fire. They are generally pressing the trigger as fast as they can not to mention the auditory exclusion that’s taking place so they may think their guns not firing at all. Traditional range training seldom explores this concept yet this is a frequently seen involuntary response. So what, leave it to luck and hope one or two rounds hit? Or, explore what is necessary to fire effectively at that rate of speed. Ultimately the choice is yours. @gcodeholsters@sigsauerinc@safarilandgroup@islandviewenterprises@bawidamannblades@policeposts@themusastore#selfdefense#ccw#edc#concealedcarry#police#swat#lawenforcement#mindset#fighting#combat#fightorflight#range#training
