Wishing one of our inspiring clients massive good luck in his epic race the #dragonsbackrace starting early tomorrow morning.
It's a Race that follows the mountainous spine of Wales from north to south. 5-day Run is 315 kilometres 218miles long with 15,500 metres of ascent (that the equivalent or going up Everest twice!) When training, it's important to keep yourself in best condition you can. Strength work, nutrition, massage, reflexology, chiropractic care and time out including floatation therapy.
We all love helping people reach their goals, whether that's running amazing journeys like this one or being able to tie their shoelaces pain free. • • • • •
If on Thursday when I broke down after 3 miles and had to limp back home almost in tears from a training run with a cracked Coccyx you'd have told me I could've still been racing Calder Valley - and achieve of top 13 place (and part of an overall 2nd team at the Calderdale fell relays) I'd of bit your hand off. Kudos for captain Godsman for telling me I still had to run when I text him with the news. And for @crostonjonny for shouting me all the way up the final hill. Sorry guys we weren't quite good enough today but I'll be back stronger next time. And thanks for believing in me.
And whilst everyone was officially told the reason @ben_mounsey was AWOL today was due to another Italian jolly anyone who tuned into Eurovision last night will have realised just where he really was...swipe ⬅️ to see his where he gets his fell moves from 😉
After few training days and proper rest I am feeling much better than prior to UTVV 😉 Got slightly trigger happy yesterday morning and signed up for Pen Llyn Coastal & Trail Series trail marathon at South Wales coast next Sunday :) Let's hope I'll manage to fight till the end this time, not only for the first half like week ago 😝 📸 @utvv_slovenia
Tomorrow marks the end of Mental health awareness week and while at the moment I am managing to keep the black dog away, I'm also very aware that at any moment my mental health could take a nose dive. One thing that has helped me personally through low times has been running and as cliche as it is, running has changed my life for the better in so many ways that I could never have imagined when I ran that first 10k in Yarmouth a couple of years ago, and so what better way to help others and ultimately help myself than to run a crazy distance whilst raising money for charity, you can find out more about my challenge by following the link in my bio 👆 but starting in September I will be running from Leysin in Switzerland back to Dereham in Norfolk, a journey of over 700 miles taking just over a month to complete. .
A massive thank you to everyone that has donated either their money or time to "From Mountains To Molehills" already, it really is helping to keep me focused on something that has become about nuch more than me running. If you haven't done so and would like to, you can donate by following the link in my bio, any amount no matter what size will be very greatly appreciated by myself and everyone at the 3 charities. Thank you
