Thanks for always being my camera buddy @milland11 📸
Well anyway, Happy #MindfulMonday friends! •
It’s a another dreary, wet day here in Cincinnati. And all this moisture makes me think about all of the water on our earth and in our bodies! •
Anyone who knows me personally, knows I always have my trusty water bottle right next to me! •
And it’s because since I’ve been focused on keeping my body hydrated, I’ve noticed HUGE changes.
My energy is up, my skin is clearer (seriously, I hardly wear makeup anymore and I pretty much just use a simple face scrub and moisturizer and that’s it), I hardly have headaches, and I all around feel better. •
I love the way I feel drinking more water, but I know not everyone is as dedicated to drinking water, or may have a hard time remembering to take a sip!
If you’re one of those people, then today’s post #ontheblog
is for you!! 🤗
Check the #linkinprofile for simple tips to drink more water!
Are you someone that is on the struggle bus when it comes to drinking water? Or are you all about it? Let me know in the comments below! 👇
For the very last event with @italchambers we celebrate the region of Emilia Romagna in all its delicious glory. Over the past 10 days the Italian Chamber of Commence has pulled out all the stops with presentations, dinners, seminars and much more. Truly an exceptional group. Grazie per tutti.

Eloise has taken her self-appointed position further as she discovered that if she steps between the cloth and clear plastic shower curtains, she can watch over me to ensure I don’t drown during my showers. She takes her duties quite seriously.
We don't just drink beer aboard the Brew Bus! 🍻 It's the time of year for crisp hard apple cider! Right now we're loving Nine Pin Cider 🍎– this Albany-based cidery integrates flavors like Ginger and Pear into their refreshing drinks, and we'd love to stop there on your tour!
Y’all the gym had bad lighting 😔😤but I saw this quote today!
You are always one decision away from a totally different life!
But you know what else?! One piece of pie, one bowl of stuffing, one thing isn’t going to derail all of your work. Keep it simple, make more good decisions than bad and you will see results! I ask myself...what good things did you feed your body today?

As a follow up to Saturday’s post about red meat...I clearly don’t fear it 😂
And regarding yesterday’s post, if you’re looking for an easy and budget-friendly recipe, this pot roast is for you! Literally takes 10 minutes of work and can easily feed a family for pretty cheap.
2-3 lb chuck roast (or larger)
1-2 cups bone broth or stock
5 medium carrots
1/2 head of celery
1 medium sweet onion
Cooking fat (ghee, butter, avo oil, etc)
Salt and pepper (and other spices of choice)
1. Rinse your meat and pat it dry. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
2. Melt about 2 Tbs cooking fat in a large skillet on medium-high heat. Sear (this just means cook) for a few minutes on both sides. This step should take no more than 10 mins.
3. While your meat is searing, roughly chop your veggies. Feel free to switch up the veggies based on what you have on hand! Potatoes, parsnips, turnips, would all be great as well.
4. When the meat is done searing, add it to a slow cooker with the broth and veggies. Pour the leftover cooking fat from the skillet on top.
5. Cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours and THAT’S IT!
All meals this week will consist of either pot roast or turkey 😂 what did y’all meal prep before Thanksgiving?!

Did you do your brain workout today?! 🧠
Most of us agree that it's important to train our muscles, but what about our brains? Research shows that our brains are like our biceps; they change and grow in response to deliberate training. Such training is important because our brains are the chief executive officers of our lives; they play a role in everything we do, every decision we make, and every facet of who we are. Changes made to our brains have a compound effect and can ripple across all aspects of our lives.
If you’re not meditating, then you’re missing out on a key brain changing tool, since studies suggest that meditation is one of the most powerful ways you can change your brain.
Meditation has a host of benefits, which we describe in detail in an article on our site, ModernMight.com. One of these remarkable benefits is it’s ability to slow aging. Meditation is a fountain of youth! ***********************************
1. Meditation increases the gray matter in our brains. For a long time, scientists thought that our brains didn’t change beyond childhood. Research has since shown that our brains are in fact pliable. You can change it like a muscle! As we get older, the volume of gray matter in our brains decreases, a process that’s associated with difficulties concentrating, dementia, and slowed cognitive processing. Meditation helps prevent these negative changes. ***********************************
2. Mediation also helps protect our telomeres, which are the caps on our chromosomes. These caps protect our genes from damage. The negative effects of aging have been linked to the degradation of telomeres. Meditation helps slow this process by protecting our genes from decay.
Mediation’s ability to help combat aging is only one of its unbelievable benefits! Stay tuned for future posts detailing meditation’s other benefits, or visit our site to learn about them now. Additionally, you can discover more about what meditation is and how to start a daily practice at our site.

Counting down to the big day! Spill those pumpkin pie secrets below!
El estar presentes no es algo que podemos entender a través de la mente, es una experiencia que sentimos a través de los sentidos, no de los pensamientos
Being present can’t be understood through cognition, is an experience we feel through our senses, not through our thoughts 🌅
How stunning is this building?! This ornament, along with my last post, is a historical spot in Richmond, Virginia. The lovely, bride-to-be & her future beau are gifting these to their parents as thank you gifts. Love that I was able to make something so special for their family. To the future Mr. & Mrs., congrats! 🎉❤️🍰

You may not See it, believe it, trust it, or even want it. I didn’t. But God had plans for me that I didn’t have for myself. What I’ve learned about faith, is that you can’t always see all the puzzle pieces. It requires taking one step, even if you can’t see the next. #bigfaith#trustgod
'May your time in nature,
Lead you to yourself.'
'Be grateful for your life,
Spend time in the nature,
Let go of your worries,
And build your life
around what you love.'
Beautiful mother nature 💚🍃🌿🌴🌳
And we destroy everything.
The time is now.
Doing my best every single, with the simplest gestures, to reduce my impact on that beautiful earth.
Hope we all do the little we can, every single day.
It breaks my heart the way humans destroy everything.
We can be the greatest,
sadly our worst comes out most of the time.
There is no planet B.
I wish you a great day beautiful people, be kind to everything 💚
Happy Monday ☀️
There is maybe no sunshine outside but you can be your own little one 💛☀️
"Live beneath your means.
Return everything you borrow.
Stop blaming other people.
Admit it when you make a mistake.
Give clothes not worn to charity.
Do something nice and try not to get caught.
Listen more; talk less.
Every day take a 30-minute walk.
Strive for excellence, not perfection.
Be on time.
Don't make excuses.
Be kind to people.
Be kind to unkind people.
Let someone cut ahead of you in line.
Take time to be alone.
Cultivate good manners.
Realize and accept that life isn't fair.
Know when to keep you mouth shut.
Go an entire day without criticizing anyone.
Learn from the past.
Live in the present.
Don't sweat the small stuff.
It's all small stuff."
Words to live by 💛 feed your soul and be the light in the room ☀️
Day by day, you can be better.
Not for someone else, just for yourself. You matter 💛
I wish you a great start of the week, do your best, always. ⭐️

🇺🇸'By the beach
Near the sea
What a wonderful place to be.'
'Smell the sea,
And feel the sky.
Let your soul and spirit fly.'
'The Earth has music,
For those who listen.'
'May you stand just like a mountain,
In a storm along the sea,
And may you always find the answer,
To be FREE.'
Got there only to see it, the lovely and magical sea 😍
Before the storm 💨💦

Just always be
the better person.
And make your intentions pure.
What and who you are
is what you’ll attract,
what you’ll maintain.
Pain is inevitable and it
will always exist,
but if you focus on
understanding what you are feeling and
why you are feeling it, you will
The expectations we have often do not correspond with reality.
We are disappointed everytime this happens.
We become disappointed when we expect to be treated as we treat others.
When you start to realize that everyone is living at a different stage, thinking differently and making their choices,
Then you can only accept the fact that people do not share the same mind and heart.
When you want to be happy
You have to let go of that,
And start with yourself,
Be the person you can be proud of,
Be an example,
Show respect and understanding.
Others may not change,
But know that it is not up to you
And be proud of who you are.'
Realized it some years ago. You are YOU. What you think is yours and not everybody else feels like you. Your 'normal' will never be the same as your neighbor, friend or sister. It is yours. So never take something too personally. Learn to live for yourself, by yourself and always do your very best 💛
That's how I've found the inner peace some years ago.
Hope it can help somebody today 💙
