#familytrip#family77#familyadventures
Goodness, I love these boys and baby girl so so much. I couldn’t have dreamt up this beautiful life if I tried. It’s better than anything I could’ve come up with myself.
Lately I’ve been remembering this life is so fleeting, so short and I’ve been trying to soak in every detail of this sweet season before we welcome baby girl. Every day is to be cherished and lived to the fullest.
May your week be filled with love, laughter, hugs, connection, fullness and healing. You deserve it all, friends.

And just like that. I blinked. And you turned 7 months old. My sweet boy. I wish the clock would freeze for just a little while longer.
I love that you’re a true mama’s boy, but you’re still SUCH a boy🤪 Rough and tumble, yet sweet to the core. Everything I hoped for and everything I never knew my heart needed. ♡
At the end of a busy day of sightseeing with my kids, I like nothing better than to sit down with a glass of wine admiring the view.

“Brother, I love you so much. There’s nothing you can ever do to make me love you less.” I overhead Christian tell Hendrix this earlier today and my heart melted into a million pieces.
Scott and I always tell the boys this, so that they’ll know that our love for them is truly unconditional, unwavering. Kids are magical beings and they mirror back behaviors and words we say to them. They soak in everything we say and do to them.
It’s so beautiful to watch the way they love each other. What an honor to be their mama. ♥️

Did you know you can carry two little ones at a time using two Onya Baby carriers? Tandem wearing is great for both twins and children of different ages. The supportive, padded waist belt and shoulder straps ensure maximum support and even weight distribution.

TRUTH BOMB 💣 ⠀
Wishing, hoping, and dreaming are all a great start. But those hopes need to be put into action. It does not need to be earth shattering, jaw dropping, revolutionary action. ⠀
But it needs to be a step forward. And another step forward. Despite the fear of uncertainty, failure, frustration and self-doubt, you need to take a step forward. ⠀
Heck, despite falling flat on your face, you need to get up and move forward! ⠀
You would never expect to hit a target 🎯 by closing your eyes and pointing somewhere over yonder, yet so often we do that with life! Rather than live in the possibility, we stay apathetic, uninspired and drift along either because we don’t believe in our capabilities or because we don’t know where to start! ⠀
⠀ 👣 ⠀
The small steps, the small changes, and the consistency leads to accomplishment, and growth. ⠀
What ONE small step can you take that will put you closer to the mama, wife, daughter, employee, boss babe that you want to be? ⠀
Im here to support you 💕 If you want small simple steps, join me in our Intentional Living Countdown to Christmas.
Traveling and exploring close to home can be fun and quite educational. (Ad) .
Enid, Oklahoma is a 90 minute drive from my home in Oklahoma City. It’s a small town with a BIG history. It was part of the Chisholm Trail, Oklahoma Land Run of 1893, Oil Boom, and more.
This picture was taken inside the Turkey Creek Schoolhouse. It’s a one room school that was used from 1895-1947 before being moved to the Chisholm Strip Heritage Center as part of their historical village. You can learn a lot about a place at a museum like this. Not being from this area, I didn’t know the details of the Land Runs in the late 1800s. Luckily docents were on hand to walk us through and make history come alive. .
Enid is filled with Western history like the Cherokee Strip Heritage Center, Simpson’s Old Time Museum, Woodring Wall of Honor, Railroad Museum of Oklahoma, and others. But don’t take my word for it. Go visit for yourself! .
Definitely a great experience to learn about another culture. We enjoyed it very much! 🇻🇺

I’ll look back on this trip and smile because it was life and we decided to live it our way! .
I remember when “things” were so important to me and how just a shift in mindset made me realize that “time” with those I love has no comparison!! .
The kids are always watching and I want them to see and experience life not have life experienced for them! 👨👩👦👦

Our updated morning routine includes reading for about 30-45 minutes each morning. I have loved incorporating biographies, poetry, history and short stories into our days. Last week I picked up a children’s biography on Anne Frank at the library and Connor was so interested and asked so many questions. It opened the door for us to talk about the sad fact that some people can hate so blindly based on religion, color, background and so many other ‘reasons’. It’s hard to know how much to explain to an 8 year old about concentration camps and other atrocities that have happened due to the hatred out there but I really believe this is a part of history he needs to learn about. We’re going to start reading excerpts from Anne Frank’s diary and I’m going to look for other books about WWII and concentration camps that are written for his age group. Does anyone have any suggestions?
We try to do at least one new thing when we go on a trip to a city we already know well. This trip we went NIGHT SWIMMING!! We had the best time and will definitely be repeating this. Big kids are fun 🐠🐟 #naplesfl#poolday#familyadventures

WE’RE GOING TO HAWAII!!! We leave in 5 days and I am so flipping excited. But also slightly terrified.
Spam me with all of your suggestions for traveling with a 3 year old and 1.5 year old. We’re flying direct so I just need to keep them entertained for 6 hours and 18 minutes. NO PRESSURE. Halp me.
Also, Reagan is pumped too, clearly.
Treasures beyond number. Today we explored near the shore on the Oregon Coast at low tide. Amazing how at first glance the rocks look like plain brown rocks, but when you look closely, they are covered with life. Glory to God! Declan even noticed that when you listen closely, each of those little sea creatures is singing. #seastars are not something we see in SoCal, magical finding those hiding all over. #treasuresuntold Also today: thought we broke the motor home, but it was just a switch, frolicked on the sand dunes at Oregon Dunes Recreational Area (so amazingly fun fun for us all!), went into the largest sea cave in the US, and turned away from the coast toward Portland. I’m going to miss that view! What is it about water that just calms my soul. Anyone else love water?

The @owletcare smart sock is a nifty little bubba-friendly #wearable that uses #pulseoximetry to track an infant’s vitals while they sleep. Parents can monitor how their bub's tracking via the smartphone app – it also doubles as a night light! Is this the perfect gift for new parents, or what? $279.98

Today we hiked the Little Horse trail. The formation on the lefts is named Two Nuns.
We came across this photo of our little wanderers exploring the Flinders Ranges back in the first week of our travels. It’s incredible to see how much they’ve grown and matured in just a short 8mth period!
Bodhi has blossomed from being shy and uncertain to being full of confidence and non-stop chatter and our sweetheart Finn has developed resilience and independence.
Who else found their little ones changing so quickly while on the road? .
“Certainly, travel is more than just the seeing of sights, it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living”
We are obsessed with American Ninja Warrior over here so for our last day in Austin, I surprised the kids with a whole afternoon at a real ninja gym. They even got to train with James McGrath from the show! Seeing the joy pulsing through their bodies was a trip highlight for this mama. Scroll through the photos if you want to see dreams coming true.
