The prize for the most impressive Torii gate we saw on our trip would have to go to Hakone Shrine 🌊⛩🏅For weeks we had been planning to visit Miyajama and the night before we were due to travel down to Hirmoshima we saw photos of the Torii covered in scaffolding 😭 so if you are in Japan now I would 100% recommend visiting Hakone Shrine instead, just look at this view 😍⛩ #hakoneshrine#explorejpn#miyajama#japantraveltips#thevacationists#sheisnotlost

Have you ever tried having a traditional Japanese meal in a temple?
The meal created by the chef of Daigo-ji temple isn’t just traditional, the chef uses seasonable vegetables produced in the area. It means seasonal only! But you have to make a reservation in advance. Reservations can be made on the website. It comes with an entrance ticket for Sanboin.
Now I haven't try their traditional Japanese meal but I did have some Japanese sweets and macha ice cream accompany by this amazing view of the Benten-do Hall of Daigo-Ji Temple! What can be better than🍦and a prefect view?
Some places are popular for good reasons ⛩ Miyajima Island’s great torii is usually seen floating on water, but due to low tide we were able to walk out and under the gate...which meant everyone else could too 😅
