All Because Two People Swiped Right ❤️❤️❤️ This cutie is heading to Virginia. 🌺❤️🌺 #swiperight#tinder
So lately I’ve been getting some nasty messages from random people telling me to get a “real job”, “I need to stop doing crafting and be a parent and go to work” and I’d like to address these people by sharing why I run my own little shop since they think my personal life is their business🤷🏻♀️ so I officially started crafting back in late October of 2016, I had just lost my baby and for some reason crafting just seemed to prevent me from melting down crying and missing my child, then I started doing shows and doing these shows I saw many people smile when they saw my work and a lot of them were children! Seeing those smiles sparked something in me and I felt like I had a purpose again. 😊 so fast forward to now, I do these shows the odd time because it makes me happy to see people smile when they see my work, I see how happy it makes them and I feel like I’ve sparked happiness in my customers even if it’s just for a little while!💜 I run this business because I have a son now who loves his mum and doing this allows me to work from home so that I can spend as much time with him as he wants!💕 my first and important job is being a mum, my second job is running my shop while he sleeps so that in no way shape or form is it taking up the time I spend with my son. This business is me coping with my loss and coping with my current mom life because as a mom I’ve given up ALOT but this give me something of my own and it’s a great outlet to get creative and to meet new people😊 I don’t take these hateful or rude messages to heart because I know I’m a good person, a great mom and this business is simply fun for me☺️ this post is not for sympathy but more of a background of my business and why I love doing it so much💕 it’s simply because it’s fun and I am rewarded with seeing everyone’s happiness😌👏🏻 #sheerbeautybows#happiness#nohate#rainbowbaby#loss#appreciationpost#locallymade#momrunbusiness#accessories#mylife#miscarriageawareness#womenrunbusiness#etsymom#ilovemakingpeoplefeelbeautiful#ilovespreadinghappiness#sharinghappiness#yeg#yegartist#supportsmallbusiness#shoplocal#backgroundofmybusiness#backgroundstory#yegbusiness#hatersgonnahate #❤️
I was totally inspired by that bottom red fabric for this one. The combination of the red, caramel and blue color just did it for me!

I’ve made it no secret that Lissa Sue Designs came to me at just the right time. I’ve often shared that in the especially difficult days leading up to my daddy’s passing and the days following, I desperately needed a creative outlet to work out my feelings and keep my anxious heart from too much worry. Even now, over a year later, I’m still finding so much joy and encouragement in creating designs meant to do the same for others. I told my brother earlier this week that I can often look back at my designs and remember exactly where I was and where I’ve been in the grief process...which leads me to the fresh new offerings pictured here. I feel like the fog is starting to lift a bit, and I’m finding more hope than ever in God’s promises. If you haven’t found that kind of hope yet, give me a holler, because I’d love to tell you all about it and share with you how loved you are! 💕
“May the God of hope fill you with joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” - Romans 15:13 -
Went to the doctor first thing this morning for poor Lil. She’s been in and out of colds for a couple of weeks now but they turned into a rasping cough over the past few days. We’ve got antibiotics and alllllll of the netflix happening over here as I try to keep her laying low. Which means, lots of pretty house trolling for me on the gram and a bit of image editing. Hoping to get some new pieces up soon.
How do I get over the fear of what people think of me?
As a newbie entrepreneur, you’ll get judged and criticized for almost everything.
People deep down want you to fail because it will make them feel better about never going for their own dreams. OUCHHHHHHH! The truth hurts, ya’ll.
I personally don’t want anyone to fail or quit. I am here to inspire, teach, build you up and make an impact where ever I can. That’s a part of my calling, my purpose.
When you are being called to something (like right now in your business), it’s sometimes the hardest journey you’ll ever take. You will fail in some respects, it will hurt, people will be assholes, but right around the corner is success.
This is a part of your story. You had to go through the struggle to come out ahead.
Are you finding it difficult to get over what people think of you? Someone once told me that people only care about what they are doing, they don’t go around thinking about you all day. Even on social media, they may read your post, get really inspired or angry. Then 7 seconds later, they are on to the next post and meme.
Rarely do people have the emotional maturity to fully understand what you are doing and why you feel the need to start this business. They aren’t you and they don’t see the bigger picture.
To attract your tribe, you must be bold and take a stance for what you believe in. This may mean that people won’t agree with you and people will be rude and inconsiderate. THEY AREN’T ON YOUR PATH AND THEY NEVER WILL BE.
If you keep writing that social media post for your husband’s best friend who probably skips over your posts anyway, then your mindset needs some adjusting.
Guys, I’ve spent many years tolerating negative behavior and allowing it into my life. Now, it’s at least an arm’s length away and I trust myself completely in knowing how to handle it. I love myself and this journey even with the challenges because I have faith in my mission.
If you are looking for more guidance on how to get over the fear of what people think of you, let’s set up a call. ➡️➡️ link in bio.
My cozy corner. Hand painted table- check. Built-in sitting- check. Cushions finally done- check. This was actually a pretty easy project. Stock wall cabinets, 2x4s, MDF, baseboard trim, and a few nails, screws, and painting. The unit took just two days to do. The cushions went undone for more than three years. Lol. Once I decided to finally get them done, it was a quick job, too. #toolbeltdiva#kitchenprojects#craftymom#eatinkitchen#cozycorner#etsymom
