1,000x Price Growth No Longer Possible, Vitalik Reaffirms
Co-founder of Ethereum and crypto personality Vitalik Buterin has hit back at media outlets over how they portrayed excerpts of his tweets to paint an overly negative picture of cryptocurrency's future. Social media reactions immediately labeled Buterin as a doom-sayer predicting the end of the cryptocurrency boom, or worse, as a disgruntled founder of a digital asset shedding value daily.
Responding to the furore, Vitalik clarified; “To be clear, I never said that there is ‘no room for growth’ in the crypto ecosystem. I said there is no room for *1000x price increases*... What I *actually* said is that, because large portions of the population have already heard of crypto, further growth of crypto in any sense must come from *depth* (ie. actual usage), and not bringing in more attention". He also used the opportunity to take a shot at Tron founder Juston Sun, who commented his own highly optimistic prediction shortly afterwards. Vitalik is known to attack industry press outlets for skewed reporting.
