At just 23-years-young, Lauren Simmons is dripping Black Excellence all over the NYSE and making groundbreaking history as the youngest and first full-time female equity trader at the world’s largest stock exchange.
“When I tell people what my job is they are always surprised,” Simmons told CNBC about her history-making position for Rosenblatt Securities. “It’s surreal.”
Simmons graduated from Kennesaw State University in December 2016 with a BA in genetics and a minor in statistics. The young scholar had plans of pursuing pursue a career in the medical field but decided on a career start on Wall Street after falling in love with numbers in high school.
