Stay magical 💫
After a delicious helping of ellonberry pie that evening, Pawl and Coralle Sevenstars put their two children to bed and went to sleep feeling content.
But at three thirty in the morning, Pawl sat up in a cold sweat, breathing heavily.
What had woken him?
The window was ajar, just as they had left it, and the netting was waving gently in the night breeze. He turned to his wife and gave her a kiss on the cheek, making her stir and reach up sleepily to touch her face.
Pawl lay back down and told himself that it must have been the rich food upsetting his stomach. But there was one thing he had to check before going back to sleep.
He lifted his left hand and unclipped the face of his watch. As he did so, his whole body began prickling with fear. “Oh, dear Gedin, no,” he said to himself. “This can’t be happening.” He rubbed his eyes furiously to make sure he wasn’t seeing things.
But there was no mistaking the colour of the xinary.
It was glowing deep, blood red.
From the opening of City of the Falling Sky, coming to Episode soon!
Do you guys remember this scene from the book? This is the moment that changes Seckry and his family's life forever! Fun fact: a lot of people ask me how the word xinary is pronounced, and the answer is zin (like sin but with a z) and ary like in the word granary. The word is inspired by the word binary, which has signifance as you learn more about this very special watch!
Okay first of all - thank you for all the birthday wishes, everyone! I have the best friends in the episode world and I feel so lucky!
Second - It’s out in the world! My baby!
The Enchantment Thief is a story about secrets, love, magic, and the bond of family 💜. It has a little bit of everything and I think that’s what make it special.
This story follows Violet Willow, who has always had visions of the future. On her 21st birthday, she has a vision of gorgeous, broody Gideon, a stranger she KNOWS she’s met before - which starts a chain of events that will unravel the truth to her secret magical lineage and the destiny so many died to protect 💜. It’s based on a book I wrote and it’s very different from The Glass Cage - I’ve learned so much since I started writing my first baby, and I’m really proud of all the work I put into this one!
I hope all of you will give it a read while I finish up Episode 18 of The Glass Cage!
Lastly, thank you @sandrawintherart for this gorgeous cover!
