Who can relate??
I feel that this is totally life after 30!
K friends, we need to get together more often + stop telling each other we’re “fine”. Seriously when did fine become the norm to say?! Why can’t we talk about what’s going on?!
I’m here to listen!
It might be Saturday but I still pushed to get my workout in this morning. I would be so easy to use wedding planning as an excuse to skip workouts. I might have had ice cream twice this week 🤪
Can I chalk that up to wedding planning stress relief? 🤷🏻♀️
Let the count down begin!!!! Exactly a month from today until these beach bunkies say “I DO!” Can’t wait to cut a rug and toast to you lovebugs!!! Happy One Month till your wedding!!!! #thedreamchoice

That glow, right?! 😍 But as much as I love the glow of a good sunset, there is something special about the glow of a bride and groom on their wedding day. .
As a photographer, I usually start the wedding day with the bride in the morning when she's getting ready with her girls. And yes she is BEAUTIFUL as she puts on her dress, her earrings, and all those special details. But when she finally sees her groom - whether it's their first look before the ceremony, or down the aisle - there is a beauty that absolutely SHINES as she locks eyes with the one she gets to spend the rest of her life with. It's a joy and beauty that shines from the inside out - and that's a glow that's better than the sunset!

About a year and a half ago, I left a full time supervisor position. It was thee most stressful job + position I had ever held.
I left the position because I was honestly worried that 1. I would lose Chris because of my job. 2. That I was going to have a hard attack before the age of 30.
2 weeks after I left I got really sick. I hate saying that because I didn’t have cancer or anything like that + my heart goes out to the people that do. ❤️
All the stress of that job had finally caught up to my body. I couldn’t talk, I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t swallow, I couldn’t really do anything for almost 2 weeks, even having the energy to get up and pee was a challenge.
I remember going to the Drs office because I was so scared, my throat was so swollen. I remember it like it was yesterday. She looked at my throat and then said “I feel bad for you.”
I was like 🤬 wtf?! What kind of dr says that?? Just FIX IT!! She told me that I had a viral infection (thank-you Alyssa for the clarification ❤️ not bacterial but viral) and it could NOT be treated with antibiotics.
I was furious when I left the Drs office, I remember calling Chris with no voice and just balling my eyes out.
You’re probably wondering why I’m telling you this?!
I’m sharing this because, I have that same infection now (it’s not contagious). Here I am 5 days in and feeling a 💩 ton better then I did last year on day 5.
Fueling our bodies properly isn’t only to lose weight, tone up, etc. It’s nourishing ourselves so when we get sick, we are strong enough to help fight it off.
The reason that I am feeling better this round than last round is because I’ve been giving my body what it needs. Foods that fuel my body, movement, a crap ton of water, and less coffee (cuz I could live off coffee).
What are you doing for yourself today, that your future self will thank-you for?
P.S. thank-you to all my lovely friends who have been sending me their home remedies ❤️I hate taking pills.

Just as the sun spread the last of it's light over the farm, Paul and Sarah very kindly responded to my jumping up and down mouthing "golden hour, golden hour!" by joining me for a little walk around the farm.
Yes, I'm a sucker for a bit of rich, golden light before the party kicks in. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This was right at the end of our shoot and under that dress, Sarah's step's were quickening and Paul was starting to break into a run - there was, after all, a pretty awesome band about to play their first dance, loads of friends enjoying the sunshine and a truck load of booze waiting to be drunk!
Well really, who can blame them?! 🥰

Already planning to ghost you all on social tomorrow while I focus on this cute pair getting hitched. Get ready for some seriously pretty previews after this weekend!
My relationship testimony, Part 2.
Once I began praying for God to send me my future husband, I created a list of what I would like in a person. I wanted him to be like this, look like this and enjoy this, etc. I can tell you that a lot of those expectations were surreal and not what God gave me.
And I will be honest with you...I don't recommend doing this because it's as if we are taking the place of God and fabricating the ideal person in our minds. We set expectations and once they don't come through, we get hurt.
It's best to let God bring you the person with no set expectations because He knows the desires of our hearts better than we know ourselves. -- I don't want this to be confused with allowing someone in our lives that can be damaging. If we ask God for wisdom, He will let you know what to pray for 📖Romans 8:26.
It amazes me how my future husband doesn't meet ALL the "expectations" I had, but we fit together so perfectly. We express our love for each other in ways that we both love. We are very similar and yet, our differences complement the weaknesses we have.
So I threw away the list and kept praying. I don’t know if you do this, but every night I kneel down to pray next to my bed. I've been doing this since high school and I think it’s very humbling to kneel down right before bed. Now, even though we aren’t living together, my fiancé and I do this nightly and we take turns praying over the phone.
Around the time I threw away my list and one day after church, an older couple called me over to them and the man told me out of nowhere: “Become the person that you would want to marry. Work on becoming a better you and don't have a list of requirements.” I had never spoken to this guy and his wife about anything. Is this coincidence? No. This is how God works and this was confirmation from Him that He cares and was listening.
So that is what I did during my time of singleness. I studied and worked; I stayed active in church and I didn't get discouraged.

Flew to SF to photograph a very special engagement shoot for Tara & Rishi! Cant wait to share more from this shoot.
So this happened yesterday! @andriymarchyshyn and @saralynkelly got engaged!!! My brother finally found the person he was meant to be with and we couldn’t be happier ❤️ we love you, Sara, and can’t wait for you to officially become a part of our family.
On a side note: I’m generally a crier but MAN was it hard to control the shaking. I was so nervous, couldn’t breathe, sweating profusely, and the bones in my hands were rattling so badly you could almost hear them. And I was only behind the camera!!! 😂 We were sneaking up behind a row of trees, trying not to blow our cover, and when we were in earshot he got up from the bench they were sitting on and pulled her up to take a selfie. Then! he started saying all of these beautiful things and I’m not sure if I’ve ever been more proud of my brother. That’s also when I started bawling like a baby (turns out @curtisround was too!). And she started laughing and crying and there was a YES in there somewhere and then everyone was crying and laughing and hugging! The elation was overwhelming. It still is! We’re so incredibly happy for them and feel so lucky to have witnessed such a momentous moment 🥰 ~ love, Oksana #curtisroundphotography

Life is pulling me in a million directions right now & I am just trying to soak up every second of it. Very very soon I will not be a fiancé planning a wedding. I will be a wife 💕
You know you are making good habits when you tell you husband-to-be that you are excited for your workout tomorrow because it is your favorite style. #nerd 🤓 Who knew I liked MMA/kick boxing moves so much!
Do you like a workout style that surprised you? #16daysleft#chlapikkissedthebride
I love when I get to go on an adventure to somewhere new with couples! So far this year I got to head down to NOLA for a shoot (with @palermophoto !) in the winter and to the Adirondacks in the spring for @demarcolorenphoto ‘s session, with sessions coming up in NYC and Charleston, SC to round out 2019! Honestly it has been such a honor to be able to see so many beautiful places and document love stories all over the country!

Whoa!! It’s the middle of freaking August. 😱 I was just about to fall asleep last night... and my brain started going a mile a minute. All of a sudden I was like 🤯
It blows my freaking mind that 1 year ago today, we closed the sale of our house.
Holy 💩 selling a house is an adventure and a half!!
We stayed with family for a couple of weeks before finally getting our trailer delivered.
It boggles my mind looking back! Did you know that Chris was scared to ask me about this adventure?? Thinking I’d say NO! Hahaha + I actually said YES!!
We haven’t been full time rvers for a year yet. We love that we can literally hook up and go wherever we want ❤️ Maybe Florida next winter? 😜
I remember this day last year so well. I was nervous, scared and hella excited. I remember telling Chris we where homeless. I don’t mean we didn’t have a place to stay, I mean we didn’t have a HOME!
It’s been 1 year of living with less than we had in the house, no mortgage, and small space, but right now I wouldn’t change it!!
What is something you have always wanted to do that scared the 💩 out of you??
Psst!! If you’re in Hamilton and looking for an awesome realtor I HIGHLY recommend Laura Vandette ❤️ she is amazing!
Gotta make the (what feels like too often no matter how much he’s traveling) trip to the airport to grab this guy from a day in Nashville (he got up at 3am and won’t be home until 10pm 😳). ✈️ I thought I’d take a moment to share a story about this guy because it’s something he’d never tell anyone himself. A few weeks ago we were grabbing lunch at @valentinastexmexbbq when I realized he was buying a gift card. To me, it was definitely random but to him, it was second nature. He turned around and handed it to a pair of soldiers in line behind us and thanked them for their service. 🇺🇸 If that doesn’t prove that there’s still amazing human beings in the world, then I don’t know what does. I’m also biased (and blessed).
🎶I'm a badass woman
Just made like that
But I'm proud of that
'Cause I'm a badass woman🎶
This has been the anthem in my head all day. When I have a doubt, I remind myself of everything I have to be proud of in my life. Keep pushing, every little step adds up!

I'm pleased to announce that I can now cross "freeze a bouquet in mid-air" off my photo bucket list 😂😂😂 How FUN is this bridal party?! 😍 Sometimes the best moments are in the unexpected!

I’ve heard it said best that “the best apology is changed behavior” and I couldn’t agree more. Words are the first step, but if the behavior isn’t there to back up what you say... then you lose credibility. Mean what you say and say what you mean. That’s how you build a healthy marriage! #happilyeveraftercourse#ichooselove

Every single time I read this quote, it’s stings a little deeper.
I am having some serious #fomo the leaders on our team are up in Muskoka Ontario at a retreat.
I’ve been creeping their Instagram stories.... cuz I’m sick and what else are ya gonna do... + there’s only so much Greys anatomy you can rewatch... (see... bullshit)
Anywho!! When I first found out about this retreat, I was totally game. I was going to be there.
Can you guess where I am now?! Yup at home, watching + wishing I was there.
So this quote stings! Because I have been committed to my bullshit for too long. And I’ll be damned if I keep doing it any longer!!
I am making a commitment to myself and my team that I will be there next year.
I am committing to my growth, because bullshit and excuses only get you so far.
Time to turn my phone off and dive into a personal development/ business development book and grow as much as I can!
Are you committed to growth or bullshit?
P.S. you can totally be there with me next year too. 😜
Hello! This is us 😊 we’re generally behind the camera, especially @curtisround, but on the rare occasion someone yanks the camera out of our hands and turns it on us. I make it sound so unpleasant 😂 it really isn’t. Why? Because deep down we know that we really don’t have that many pics of us! And we know how important it is to have these little documentations of random moments of our lives.
I love this image a guest snapped while we were in Cabo for a wedding. I love that Curt is being fun and silly because that is generally what he’s like (if you can believe it 😂😂😂). Did you know we’ve been together for 10 years now?! 😱 that’s also how long Curtis has been shooting weddings! I came into the picture a few year into our relationship. I am a science nerd at heart but turns out I love the creativity and the energy photography brings into my life. I also love how many people we get to meet! The connections we make through this crazy career (lifestyle, really) can be random, small, large, turn into acquaintances or into deep-rooted friendships. The kind of people we are now has been in large part because of those connections and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that I am a better person for them. The stories we’ve heard, witnessed, been a part of, will always be ingrained in me. ~ love, Oksana #curtisroundphotography
I'm a screamer when I'm frustrated so take it from me. Don't yell at your mom, your bridal party, your fiance, or anyone else helping. Trust me. They would rather you tell them you need 20 minutes to figure out what you really want than scream at them over hoop bouquets because you're being a stubborn pain.
After five years of putting up with me she said yes to dealing with me for the rest of her life

#ENGAGED ! I’m still in awe that I found a man who knows my favorite flowers are sunflowers and would fly me to Italy to propose in the BIGGEST sunflower field in the world 🌻. He is so thoughtful, selfless and so loving that my heart explodes with all of the things he does and would do for me. Right before the proposal, he rented a suite in a castle, continuing to treat me like a queen on the day of our proposal like he does everyday. Then during the proposal, he hired an incredible Italian photographer (drone and all 😱🥰) well knowing I live for a good photo op 💁🏽♀️. And, to top it off, spoiled me with the most perfect gold ring that he sneakily bought during our most recent trip to Dubai. The ring truly signifies how much he loves to travel the world with me and how I mean the world to him ❤️🌎. So yeah - Kristian, I’m the luckiest girl EVER, you endlessly make me feel so special and I can’t wait to spend forever with you 😘😘😘!
How beautiful do these ladies look, nonchalantly leaning against this wall in Sorrento?! Such a stunningly beautiful wedding, shooting this was definitely a 2018 highlight for me, not least because the smallest bridesmaid is my wee girlie!
❤️️ Laura and Daniel had the most amazing day and I'm so happy that I was able to fly out with the family and shoot it for them.
Everything about this day was an absolute triumph and just looking at the photos again makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.
If you'd like to feel all warm and fuzzy too, just click the link to my blog in my profile and see what I'm talking about!
I'm slightly biased of course but with a gorgeous couple, the cutest flower girl in the universe, lots of tears and laughter and stunning Sorrento as their backdrop, it's not one to be missed!
