Starting today every Wednesday and Sunday morning from 8-10 AM EST you can grab coffee at Stir It Up in Emerald Plaza and hear the station! They’ve been kind enough to support us and jam us, so go get some coffee, buy a sticker to help support the station and hang out.
Day 1 of Dublin, Ireland in the books. Got off the plane and found a place to get some delicious Fish & Chips, of course! Then toured the city from the Hop On - Hop Off double decker bus. The Guinness Storehouse tour was incredible!! The founder Arthur Guinness, had such foresight he signed a 9,000 year lease for the property!!! Transformed the city of Dublin as a result, and the whole nations economy. Incredible entrepreneur and philanthropist!!! #Dublin#Ireland#emeraldisle#IrelandAdventure19
As my time in Europe wraps up to the final stage, here are several more photos from Dublin. They all are not big tourist stops or even nationally known, but locals will recognise and appreciate these. They’ve served as a reminder that not everything in life has to be big or flashy and recognised by everyone, but rather should give you a specific feeling or thought, depending on what the place or object means to you specifically. My time in the Emerald Isle is at an end, but I make my way back to London for one more night before returning to my home base the following day. I hope to make the most of it, and can’t wait to return to it shortly! Until then, “Slán go fóill!” (Goodbye in Irish) #emeraldisle#irish#dublin#ireland#city#travel
Having a few days at the beach with these two + family has been the perfect way to kick off our first #trackout . It’s been an adjustment with starting year round school this year, but I must admit, I’m not hating the breaks!
This isn't a scene from a movie - this is reality at The Crystal Coast. Come join us in paradise. (📸: @boguewaves)

Have you crossed the Ha’Penny Bridge? 🌉👣👫
I’ve been on a Dublin spree lately so let’s continue shall we! Much like the Molly Malone selfie, crossing the Ha’Penny is a “mandatory” item for any visitor to Dublin.
If you look just beneath the bridge in this shot, you’ll see the Irish flag reflecting in the river 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪 I’m not sure if this was purposely created by the bridge, but I’ve never seen it before, so thought it was cool 😎😎😎
Some interesting bits on this legendary Dublin landmark: The Ha’Penny Bridge (pronounced HAY-penny) was built in 1816 by William Walsh so that Dubliners could cross the River Liffey by foot. Until then, it was only possible to cross the Liffey by ferry, and the ships were deteriorating ⛴ ⛴⛴ Given the choice to either replace the ferry fleet or build a bridge, Walsh financed the construction of Dublin’s most iconic bridge.
For his trouble, he was given the right to extract a toll from pedestrians who wanted to cross 💰💰💰There were originally turnstiles on the bridge, and the toll was a halfpenny, which is why the bridge became widely known to Dubliners and still to this day as the Ha’Penny.
It’s a popular romantic spot in the city but did you know that love locks are actually hazardous? 😂🔐❤️ They’ve been removed from the Ha’Penny a few times for compromising the structural integrity of the bridge!!! My favorite bit of history regarding the bridge is that the bridge operators were still trying to collect the toll during the 1916 Easter Rising when fighting was taking place in Dublin.
J.J Scollan, a militant during the Easter Rising reflected: "At 6 am on Tuesday, I received orders to get over to the Exchange Hotel in Parliament Street. We proceeded the Metal or Halfpenny Bridge – 18 of my men and nine Maynooth men. Incidentally, the toll man was still on duty on the Bridge and tried to collect the halfpenny toll from us. Needless to say he did not get it. No attempt was ever made to collect tolls on the bridge again during the rebellion.”
Gotta get that money man 😂😂😂
