This is the gorgeous Ashley and her story with psoriasis. —
I’m 28 and I’ve had psoriasis my whole life. For years I’ve struggled with self-confidence and had a habit of comparing myself to “pretty girls” or worrying about what people were thinking when I entered a room. Don’t get me started on forcing me in a dress, swim-suit, or some shorts. I actually hate makeup but I pile it on my face when there’s discoloration. A constant battle for what?! To feel normal? Accepted? Pretty .....in whose eyes? I took it upon myself to take control, stop the make up, clean up my diet, and I’m the meantime embrace it, hence the photo shoot.
My goal is to bring awareness to psoriasis as well as help children to be okay with who they are. See themselves as being unique versus flawed.

Kind Reminder of the Day 〰️ This journey never promised ease or peace or calmness. But you have the ability and the heart to find peace with it and practice your perseverance. You will find yourself in places you’ve never thought of, facing yourself in challenging ways. You are in for a roller coaster journey, if you already haven’t even began it yet. You might not enjoy every bit of it and you may even find some terrifying and not worth going through, but you know how it ends. Let it mold you and let yourself reflect and sleep on the journey. You know you will be okay eventually. And if you’re not okay, you’re not done yet. So just keep going forward. With love, Enya xo

This is Jade and her story with eczema.
Hi I’m Jade. I’m 24 and I have had eczema since birth. I have always controlled my skin with various steroid creams and the older I got, the harder my skin was to manage as my body slowly became immune to all my medication from years of abuse. I began my journey of Topical Steroid Withdrawal in October 2017, with the belief that my body is capable of self-repair through time, patience and an overall life style change. I am no longer looking for a ‘quick fix’ for my skin but instead, a healthy body and mind to aid my healing. .
Living in a society where perfection is the goal, I use to physically abuse my skin by applying layers of steroid creams and covering up my ‘imperfections’ with make-up with the view that I was never ‘pretty enough’. TSW was the hardest thing I have had to endure; I became unrecognisable and mentally lost myself as a person. Fast forward 18 months and I have come such a long way. The darkness and trauma experienced has made me stronger and grateful for the skin I have now and the person I am today. Thankful for my health and working to educate and raise awareness that it is not “just skin”. ❤️❤️

The human body contains TRILLIONS of microorganisms — outnumbering human 👨cells by 10 to 1! That's about 2 - 6 pounds of bacteria 🦠 that play a vital role in human health. When the gut microbiome and intestinal lining is damaged 🔥 it can lead to a number of health issues and symptoms that can show up in seemingly unrelated parts of the body.
In an ever increasing toxic society with over 77,000 man-made chemicals in our environment, it's becoming even more important for us to make a conscious effort to maintain a balanced "ecosystem" within our bodies. We now understand that the current state of our gut holds the key to our overall wellness. 💪🏼
One of the biggest tips for improving both digestive health and detoxification, is to allow the body to rest during a 12 hour overnight Fast. If you finish dinner at 7:00PM, don't eat or drink anything (other than water) until 7:00AM. .👍🏼
. 👉DOUBLE TAP if you'd like to hear more about maintaining a good Digestive System!👈

It is well known that Shea Butter is the super food for skin. It is packed with nutrients and vitamins but do you know why we add organic unrefined Almond Oil?
Almond oil had been used in Ancient Chinese schools of Medicine to treat dry skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. Further, there is clinical experiences that shows that almond oil reduces scarring post-operation, smoothes and rejuvenates skin. Almond oil can also be used to improve complexion and skin tone.
Day 571: Last time I sat in the sun in this chair I was living at my parents’ house during last summer and was so unwell with TSW every moment was a struggle and I suffered through most days without a smile.
This bank holiday weekend we had nothing to do and wanted to make the most of the amazing weather, which just isn’t possible in our hot top floor flat! We’re at my parents’ but this time by choice, at a local music event thing yesterday and today we had a gorgeous breakfast outside, bbq lunch and are playing games into the evening so staying tonight as well!
I’m still itchy and still have difficult days and I’m sure I’m in a good phase which may pass again but life now is so different from a year ago.
I had soooo much fun yesterday at the @webuyblack convention! And we are back at it again today😉 Come out and see us we will be here until 5pm ... oh and you get a FREE goody bag with all purchases of $20 or more! 🎉🙌🏾🤗
Special thanks to my entire team that helped make this weekend happen. I literally couldn’t do this without y’all! 🥳

Decide what you want to do; then COMMIT yourself with consistency to the nth degree. No excuses. No plan B. #focus
Just made this quick update on my #tsw since I have a lot to do today...
At the left: me yesterday after my second week of work (yes I got a job! ✨) but because of it I had to stop the phototherapy treatment for a while -I'm planning on getting the small machine to keep having the treatment- and that's because I have no time to go to the doctor while still being new at my job, also having to makeup myself every day so I look a bit more normal. This video is me with no makeup on a saturday morning.
On the right: me today on a sunday morning flaking after the redness of yesterday. It's funny that all these days I've had my eyes bothering me, very dry and a bit swollen if you can see them. BUT I have no tsw symptons anywhere else -just face neck and back close to the neck- now and that's a huge milestone after being on this rollercoster for 10 months now. And of course, there's always christmas in my head (snow) but little by little I believe things will keep on getting better. 🌸
SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate) is commonly used in skincare products such as body wash, cleansers, shampoos and detergents. SLS is known to cause skin irritation. It can strip the skin's natural oil off which will lead to many undesirable skin issues like dry skin, irritation and reactions. You might want to avoid it if you have sensitive skin or eczema.
Always have the habit to check the ingredient list on the product before purchasing.

Our KI cream can be used on the face and body. Just be careful when applying on the eyes areas.
Make sure eyes are closed all times when applying the cream. Best time to apply on eye areas is when your child is asleep.

They said bike around Amsterdam so naturally I found the baddest bike in town💪🏼 Before traveling I sometimes saw 3 doctors in one week so it’s been one helluva ride. Not having my health and being in pain for the last few months has really taught me how to toughen up in the softest way possible. Things I’ve learned while being sick:
1. Sickness is NOT weakness. It’s ok to ask for help.
2. Laugh often but cry when you need to
3. Don’t wait to feel “better” to do things
4. My health is the most fragile (valuable) gift I could ever receive
5. It’s the little moments that matter. We are so busy chasing big moments we often forget how incredible things are just as they are.
6. Listen to your body, it is there for you! It is equipped to heal, but sometimes it takes extra care, discipline, and patience.
On that note take your ride or die (aka your beautiful body) on the adventures you desire. Go forth like a madman with a mission and pave that road yourself. Who said you can’t get better? I decided I can and no one is stopping me. 👊🏼 #selfhealing#chronicillnessawareness#sicknessbegone

Hyaluronic Acid is an answer for those healing from Red Skin Syndrome [ Topical Steroid Withdrawal ] 🙌🏼 #Repost@eczemaconquerors with @make_repost
Super interesting - studies are showing that the use of hyaluronic acid can curb the effects of skin atrophy in topical steroid withdrawal. In the diagram, you can see these skin types shown:
✅ Normal skin
✅ #TSW skin
✅ Normal skin with hyaluronic acid
✅ TSW skin with hyaluronic acid
Notice that in the skin going through topical steroid withdrawal, is going through atrophy. But in the TSW skin that uses hyaluronic acid, the skin barrier is maintained! 😊💕
After my severe flare up after giving birth, (I wasn't going through TSW), but two estheticians had told me at different times that using hyaluronic acid would help my skin the most! ❤️ That shows how healing it can be for #eczema . .
Today’s photo 24 Aug.. his face flare up again..we’re dealing with his eczema everyday.. and everyday is a struggle for us.. anyway kahit ganun pogi pa din naman.,..hehehe
🔶️ An interesting convo regarding #theorangecream the renowned treatment for #eczema and #psoriasis . Needless to say the lady never responded once we double checked with the herbalist nor did she provide contact details of the FAKE seller.
Please note Bodytonics is an AUTHORISED seller of the Original Orange Cream. We deal DIRECT with the herbalist and he even offered to direct Riyadh enquiries to us. We sell the original cream in its original packaging (a plain plastic tub), we don't repackage or change anything!
There are fakes that the herbalist warns about and we have checked out a few resellers who are unknown to and unspoken for by the herbalist. There is another white cream (sometimes labelled as containing hydrocortisone) that is attributed to the herbalist but is NOT their product.
Buy from others at your own risk. The orange cream is very easy to fake and fakes will contain steroids as they don't have the secret ingredients that make this cream so effective and renowned.

HEALING CAN HAPPEN WITH A LIFESTYLE CHANGE
The key word to focus on is LIFESTYLE
Nothing’s wrong if you just do 1 or 2 things. But that wasn’t doing it for me because I wasn’t healing fast enough. I wanted to heal so badly & I wanted it to happen NOW.
Which is the reason I chose to follow EVERY @medicalmedium recommendation. That put my body in the best possible position to heal the quickest.
Here’s what I did...
1️⃣ Drink 16 oz of plain celery juice on an empty stomach EVERY morning
2️⃣ Eat the 5 foods to remove heavy metals from the body....DAILY (these heavy metals are part of the cause of those dermatoxins that cause eczema flare ups)
3️⃣ Omit ALL the foods that fuel the EBV that causes the dermatoxins that cause the eczema flareups
4️⃣ Lower or even omit overt fats to allow my liver to detox the virus & heavy metals causing the dermatoxins causing the flareups
5️⃣ Eat more healing fruits & vegetables
6️⃣ Take supplements to assist my body in healing
7️⃣ Drink tons of water (I drink 64-96 oz daily)
You can learn all of this from @medicalmedium Liver Rescue book
If you are curious about my lifestyle or need some support because you are changing yours...visit my website or YouTube channel (links are in my IG bio above)

In this episode of ‘Ingredient detective’ let’s pop that bottle of (🍷wine?) serum & see what kind of alcohol we may find there, cuz spoiler alert - they’re not all created equal😏
▪️Fatty alcohols= OK. Oily/waxy, act as emollients/thickeners
▪️Simple alcohols= DEPENDS. Not emollients->solvents
The research on SIMPLE alcohols isn’t conclusive, but main concerns are that they can provoke irritation (dryness/redness/itching/stinging) or silently accelerate aging/make skin more trigger-happy
USAGE (SIMPLE ALC):
🔺stabilize the formula
🔺act as a preservative
🔺make product dry/stick quicker: setting spray/long-wear foundation
🔺lighten the formula: sunscreen, gel
🔺increase penetration of other ingredients
REASONS TO AVOID:
When up in INCI list, mainly due to its drying/pro-inflammatory properties. By constantly using a degreasing/mattifying SIMPLE alcohol(dries skin by removing sebum➡️water evaporates quicker) you can worsen a condition connected with impaired lipid barrier(acne/rosacea/eczema)
That’s why alcohol toners/spot treatments are not a thing anymore (no, don’t rub alcohol on acne)-drying your skin may help that pimple fall off quicker, but in the long run can induce:
disrupted barrier✔️dehydrated skin✔️increased TEWL ✔️slower healing✔️sensitized skin✔️redness✔️allergies✔️infections✔️itching /stinging✔️hyperpigmentation✔️discomfort with other active ingredients
Helping other ingredients penetrate deeper sounds good in the context of actives like vit A/C, but NOT as good with other ingredients in the formula like fragrance/flower extracts - common sensitizers, which by going deeper bring you closer to developing an actual allergic reaction to them
Some short usage studies show that they are not too bad & you should stay away only if your skin is in a bad condition, but if it’s fine - go ahead. I tell you this: nowadays people tend to develop skin conditions (adult acne/rosacea/sensitized skin) quite easily by simply OVERUSING products. Then try to fix it with even stronger actives🤷♀️
Adding products with alcohol among first few positions of the INCI list looks simply unnecessary. Thoughts? ❤️&💬

🤒TRUE OR FALSE?
I hate to say this, but there's a lot of #truth to this
😬Lifestyle and diet changes are hard for a lot of people to commit to.
But I seriously do not have time for
⛔ people who want you to fix or save them (because life + health problems take work 💪 + you've got to be willing to put in the effort)
⛔ worrying if everyone likes me. I'm not for everyone + that's A-OK in my book👌
⛔ trying to do everything myself. No need be a martyr 😩
⛔ people pleasing. Nope!
⛔ looking perfect + holding everything together no matter what... Because that's just not #reallife
🙅I don't want to hemorrhage energy prioritizing behavior that doesn't align with what I value, you know?
🤝MY VALUES =
