Alcohol-impaired driving fatalities had increased 1.7% from 2015 to 2016. These accidents can be easily prevented in many ways such as giving a trusted friend your keys, designating a driver, or using other forms of transportation.
The average amount of people who died due to drunk driving crashes from 2006-2016 was more than 10,000 people! Not only is this number way too high, but these could have been easily prevented in a series of ways.
Fatally wounded and seriously maimed a few Tenafly High School seniors for a prom day demonstration. Thank you Tenafly High School for the chance to help bring awareness to the consequences of driving under the influence. 🚑🚨
You CAN be arrested for a BAC <0.08% (that’s the “legal limit” in most states) if your driving is impaired! .
Most of my close friends and family know I don’t drink any alcohol and I’ve never been drunk. That’s a personal choice I make for myself. Also hate the taste of alcohol 🤷🏼♀️ I want to start doing this to raise awareness of drunk driving and not only how it effects you, but your family, friends, the motoring public around you, and first responders. .
DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. Let me repeat this for the people in the back that didn’t hear the first time.DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.
Just under 14 years ago, a group of man who were carelessly drinking on fire island headed home. Lost, under the influence, and speeding through the Great South Bay, they crashed right into my family’s boat. My sister gone on impact. My father suffers from TBI, has had multiple brain and spine surgeries, my mother has permanent fractures in her face and limited use to her arm. Through some family influences, delay in blood tests, and some extra chaos these men were set free.
My family was destroyed because three men couldn’t be responsible. I get it’s a holiday weekend you want to enjoy yourself but enjoy yourself responsibility. There are Ubers and Lyfts, designate a driver, stay at a friends house. But once again DO NOT GET BEHIND THE WHEEL UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANYTHING AND DRIVE ANY MOTOR VEHICLE. I don’t care if it’s a boat, a car, a motorcycle, a quad, a dirt bike- do not drink and drive. You may have a death sentence but the family you run into does not.
Don’t become the broken family mine has become and don’t put any other family in that position either. #memorialdayweekend#memorialday#donotdrinkanddrive#donotdrinkandboat#drunkdriver#memorialdayweekend2019#alcohol#babysis#myguardianangel#spreadtheword#useuber#drunkdriving

Ethan Anthony Couch (born April 11, 1997) is an American man who killed four people while driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs on June 15, 2013, in Burleson, Texas. He was intoxicated, driving on a restricted license and speeding in a residential area when he lost control, colliding with a group of people assisting another driver with a disabled SUV. Four people were killed in the collision and a total of nine people were injured. Two passengers in Couch's truck suffered serious bodily injury, one with complete paralysis.
Couch was indicted on four counts of intoxication manslaughter for recklessly driving under the influence. In December 2013, Judge Jean Hudson Boyd sentenced Couch to ten years of probation and subsequently ordered him to therapy at a long-term in-patient facility, after his attorneys argued that the teen had "affluenza" and needed rehabilitation instead of prison, saying that he didn't know boundaries because his rich parents didn't give him any.

this is Dash camera footage of a trooper in Las Vegas that was nearly killed while on a traffic stop.
The driver that struck the patrol vehicle was arrested on charges of DUI, failing to use a seat belt, failing to use due care, reckless driving, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
The trooper is currently on light duty but will return to full duty shortly. This video serves as a reminder of just how dangerous it is for troopers while working on the freeway. Please remember to slow down and move over, it not only gives them room to work it’s also the law.
