Does anyone else ever just feel like the world is so heavy, and even though there are so many things to be grateful for, the weight of what is wrong is just so much? You'll have to excuse me, I've been cooped up at home for 4 days, and I've been thinking A LOT. Like, humans are so selfish. And why? We need so little to survive and be happy, but we're always greedy for more. Every time I watch The Lorax, I feel like my heart breaks because WE ARE ALL THE ONCE-LER 😭 Ok, I'm done. .
This is latest book by Dr. Seuss, #mymanycoloreddays, was published after his death by his wife, not sure if she's the one who wrote it, or it's one of the old books that didn't get published. Anyway, it's very good book that can explain emotions in a simple and fun way. Good to have it, especially for some "purple" and "black" days. I will have a YouTube channel similar to this page, where I'll post videos of us reading books, and this book will be on there.

Sooo true! Remember all of those little moments that, at the time, may not seem like much. But, those are the moments you are going to miss the most. The sounds of diapers swishing when your baby is crawling or walking, the funny way they held their head or mouth when they were being naughty, silly sounds that they make (because let's face it, they aren't going make them for very long), all of those things that make you laugh, smile, or cry. I have to say that I am already missing those days and I'm still in the middle of them. Because, I KNOW how quickly they are going to pass. My oldest daughter will be 15...TOMORROW! It truly feels like she was just a baby toddling around with a swishy diaper and making those sweet and funny faces. So, moms hold onto those memories tight because, I'm sure you've already heard it, but, these moments truly are fleeting!
I just finished my newest painting the "Eye of the tiger". (24"x36"x1.5" acrylic on canvas) -
They say a tiger doesn't lose sleep over the opinion of the sheep but to be honest that is easier said than done. The truth is our emotions are real, and when people belittle us for being different or not fitting into their ideas of what is acceptable or beautiful, those words can knock us down and linger in our minds like a broken record. -
The tiger symbolizes having the strength to #riseup and @lyft yourself back up every time life @hertz and knocks you down. The Eye of the tiger is a symbol of having courage and learning to trust your instincts, to tune into your raw feelings and to believe in your uniqueness and what makes you different. It is having the focus to SEE inside to your true authentic self, to @lego of your fears, ego and self doubt and believe that you are "good enough". - "The art of being different" means stop comparing and competing with what others are doing and embrace all the things that make YOU unique, different and/or ugly. It is our imperfections that make us different and allow us to create a space to make the world a more interesting and beautiful place. -
