If you haven’t met me you don’t know this, but I can be seen as very rude. I swear a lot, I love a good banter and I find exchange of insults very funny.
At the same time, the more I am rude to someone’s face for the fun of it, the more I would say how great this person is when they leave. I have one of those tough love you’d have with family: I would literally find that thing to joke about that could be seen as inappropriate and hurtful but I never EVER mean anything I’m saying. .
As much as I’d call someone I love a c**t, I’d be the first one to help them in need or defend them, respect their talent and their worth as I’m the first one to see the good and only the good in the people I love.
This rudeness is just a way for me to show appreciation, because I consider you are close enough to me to understand that I actually love you to the extend of calling you at 3am to make sure you’re alright.
Should I be more “family friendly” ? Of course. Being mean and rude is just for me to be more comfortable as I grew up the shyest kid, and test people’s limits. It’s a long process for me to get pass it and it has caused me a lot of judgement: “I can’t get you to those people because you might offend them” - “sorry Alienor but you’re rude and I don’t want you to meet my friends” - “this Alienor chick is an aggro little one”. When in the end I might say of you to your back: “oh my god this person is the best. You have no idea what’s hiding behind close doors”.
Don’t judge me by my “f**k you” cover when my first page says “anything you are I love, anything you want I give”.
So if I’ve been rude to you, know that I love you, and if I haven’t, come closer and I might give you some.
