Been awhile. Don't worry, no photos.
An extremely gifted friend of mine (@jgatta) is auctioning off this gorgeous 30"x22" framed oil painting on canvas of the Esplanade Riel with all proceeds going to @unitedwaywpg |
The photo doesn't do it justice whatsoever, but, you can kill two birds with one stone and get someone (or yourself) the gift of art for Christmas all while helping a good cause during the holidays.
The auction is open until December 31st, you can make your bid by DMing @jgatta 🙏
Support local art. Cheers! And bye again. 🍻
Coming up this Saturday, December 15, in Watrous, SK, @tara_magee1 and I will be hosting a joint night sky photography workshop for the recently formed Focus Photography Group. I pulled over to take this picture and as I was walking back to my vehicle, an elderly lady stopped and asked what I saw. I told her there is a wooden wheel in the bush that I've wanted to photograph for a while. Her response "Oh.... I thought there was an animal or something cool that I couldn't see." I think I dissapointed her
For our next set of staff introductions, we are going to take you over to our Saskatoon location. First off, this is Glen! Glen has been part of our team for about 20 years. His favorite food is popcorn and he prefers his coffee black. His wife and himself are avid animal lovers. They share their house with three parrots and two chinchillas. Glen enjoys photographing wildlife and nature, particularly birds. He prefers to use either a Nikon or Olympus camera to take photos. Glen's photographs have been published in over 25 nature books that his wife is the writer and author of! Stop by the Saskatoon store and say hi to Glen!
Little re-edit for ya!
This is still one of my favourite pictures that I’ve taken to date. I remember how stoked I was when I got home and saw it. This was my first successful Astro shoot after many failures. I’ve learnt lots more about editing sense then, I felt like it deserved a fresh makeover.
