You know I believe in this whole heartingly. 💕
I wish more people would really #disconnect more in life because so many things are happening in reality that you're all missing out on because you're so connected to the matrix so much...
Here's some tips I practice every day: 💜- Turned off your phones at least an hour a day & let it fully chill and RECHARGE/REST! 💆🏻♀️
💜- For the countless hours y'all spend scrolling through the internet, take AT LEAST an hour to MEDITATE. 🧘🏽♀️
💜- For the hours you take watching other peoples live THEIR lives and stories, take some time to REFLECT on your own and take GRATITUDE on the gifts you're being given daily. *** With that said!
I can't wait to leave the city and reconnect with nature and the woods this weekend. *** 💚🍄 #siyonarasuckers#tatahoes#disconnect#unplugged
Clearly, since my last post, I have not been fully ready to rejoin the world of social media much less ready to creativity string words together to bring you our anniversary adventure story.
BUT... today as our family rejoins "real life" and I was already missing my sweet man by 9am this morning I will reminisce our week together a bit with you!
Even though we had spent the first eight-ish years just the two of us visiting various places and settings all over the country , this time spending time (in near seclusion) in the mountains of WVa was something we had never done before.
I absolutely loved the fact that having nearly ZERO cell service, the surrounding of God's beautiful countryside, hills, mountains, valleys, waterfalls rivers, along with the nearby quaint little towns forced us to slow down and just enjoy our time together.
There was hiking in which was clearly NOT expected AT ALL! (You can laugh at me now, those that were following my " Where do you think I'm going post"). Thank you to my bff Colleen who gave me a specific list for packing in which I did follow (Wal-Mart was 30 minutes away). Oh how I'd love to live more of the simple life! We talked and dreamed of owning and renting property there that would also allow us to get away and visit from time to time.
Though the neighboring towns were small, they reflected a certain charm rich in history and art! I have to admit that this revived the artist and designer side of me ( so....more on this later). Here is a little snapshot of our week. (Yes, that is a blanket and fire in June.)

Time management isn't just about #productivity ; it's about using your time in service of your goals and values.
Just back from 4 days in Yosemite, with family and friends, and NO INTERNET and I couldn't feel more #refreshed and #focused .

The most sophisticated and highly developed writing system in pre-Columbian Americas, a mesoamerican civilisation created by the Maya people - noted for its logosyllabic script, as well as for its art, architecture, mathematics, calendar and astronomical system.
Maya possessed one of the greatest civilisation in the western hemisphere. They practiced agriculture, built great stone buildings and pyramid temples, worked gold and copper and used a form of hieroglyphic writing which has now been largely deciphered. .
They may have little in terms of material possessions but the Maya people have so much happiness in their eyes! The beautiful indigenous people really humble us and open your eyes to how blessed and ruined we really are. Only recently they managed to get electricity (which is only available at certain times in the day) and running water, they live off the land and prefer the simple life - they may have little in our eyes, yet they have everything in theirs!
The eye opening Maya people do not accept money, it's more of an insult to them, why? Because they believe in hard work, working hard for money, throughout areas such as Yucatan you'll find that people such as the tuktuk drivers will also not accept money prior to the completion of a job, they have such an amazing work ethic and it hasn't changed throughout their time.
THIS IS BEAUTY, THIS IS LIFE! 💕 🇲🇽 🙆🏾♀️

Fern Hollow is a 100% off grid cabin in Iowa - three days and two nights off the grid (totally off....no cell service in the hollow) reminded me that there's a kind of silence you can only experience when there aren't any digital signals being cast about. There is electricity to be used in moderation - power comes from a solar array on a tall pole (to reach above the thick tree cover), water is collected into a thousand gallon drum, and the robust garden is just starting to come into its own, garlic and peas reaching toward the sun. If you haven't disconnected from the ever expanding grid for awhile, I highly recommend doing so. When's the last time you were unplugged? #offgrid#sustainableliving#disconnect#unplugged#cabin#fernhollow
Sometimes you just need to get away from it all. I had a wonderful weekend away in the mountains 🏔️ I worked a gorgeous wedding at @emeraldlakelodge on Saturday. Saturday afternoon/night my fiance and I explored and visited three different waterfalls! Then we checked into the cutest cabin at @johnstoncanyonresort . It was the coziest little cabin with a claw foot bathtub and a wood burning fireplace. Sunday we slept in and then had a delicious breakfast at @brunosbarandgrill in Banff! The very best part was that we were without cell service most of the weekend. It was such a great detox being able to disconnect for a couple of days. Not to mention the refreshing mountain air 💗 also check out how amazing my hair color looks here by @lsu.suhairandbeauty

This weekend I dedicated my free time to a “self development vacation,” where I spent quality time with quality people, explored my city, spent the day on a boat basking in the sun, reading Rachel Hollis, listening to personal growth podcasts, and eating my favorite vegetarian meals. I hope you take time to slow down and figure out what puts you in alignment in order to create a blissful life for yourself. The feeling is incredible.
Que bien te ves,
sin perder nada,
sonriéndole para comprarle,
con tu negocio entre las piernas,
con tus armas de mujer,
atrévete y déjale.
Vales más que eso,
pero la soledad llama a tu puerta,
abrazas a la tristeza,
entre lagrimas y sollozos,
suplicas por empezar,
pero ya no tienes nada valioso,
solo tu cuerpo y tus ganas.
Y, ¿dónde se fueron tus los sueños?
