We all wanna win that first quarter. We forget it's a 4 quarter game. We all try to get out lives set. We forget that life never settles. The idea that we only have to get to a certain point and it's all smooth road from there is just not true... Life will have It's sunny moments and we will have our lights at the end of the tunnel, I always encourage people to take that on... But don't think just cause you did it once through that big struggle doesn't mean it won't happen again. Life is filled with the ups and downs. The peaks and the climbs. A diploma doesn't set your life. A degree does not set your life. Becoming famous does not set your life. Becoming a millionaire does not set your life. Because its can all be taken away. Life is unsettling as fuck. Instead of trying to find how you can settle... Find how you can roll with the unsettling. How can you take on the punches? The darkness. The storms. The key is discipline, not motivation. When you aren’t motivated to do another pushup, discipline does it for you. Discipline doesn’t let you hit the snooze button before your morning bootcamp or CrossFit class. Discipline keeps you going week after week, month after month, even in the absence of motivation.

And lets be honest....I cheated a little here and there a couple of times. But I never quit and my #discipline has grown. It’s so awesome to eat good food and not be #bloated or miserable feeling. It’s awesome to not crave the junk because my body is getting the right nutrients and is satisfied! .
This is one of the best programs I have ever done. And it is now the only one!! .

Why is it so hard to take action, make a change AND stick to it?
We are relying too much on the thought of, if only we had the motivation we would be able to take that step/make that change. We get wrapped up in the gap between I know I should do it, the thought of it sounds great but I can’t seem to find any motivation in myself to push me to do it. Does this sound like a typical thought you’ve had?
Why does this happen? Our brain is literally wired to stop us from doing the things that are uncomfortable.
Motivation is going to come and go. Motivation is NOT what is missing. You are rarely just going to feel like it one day. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. My best tip is to get out of your head and create some discipline for yourself. Start with baby steps and eventually it’s not going to be “motivation” that is helping you get there, it’s going to be you!
