Though I’m not exactly sure how religious I am, I most definitely know I’m very spiritual. I’m a practicing Hindu but I’m open to all sorts of religious views and customs as long as it advocates love, freedom and compassion.
I light a lamp & pray at home every morning and hardly visit temples in Dubai since there are not many. However, there are a few temples in Kerala that makes me feel like I’m one with God. I don’t know what it is but the positive energy and general aura of Guruvayoor temple ( I feel the place just vibrates with divinity ) , Thriprayar temple ( on the banks of a beautiful river with it’s clear sands and gentle breeze is oh so beautiful & Vadakunnathan Temple ( feels like an enchanted forest ). I reckon it’s the proximity with nature of these temples that draws me to it because ultimately I believe nature is God & God resides within each of us. A holiday to Kerala is incomplete without visiting these holy shrines that feels like home cos it’s an essential part of my being. I also love going to churches with my best friend. Places of worship are always so calming. It’s like going to fill myself with all the goodness & positivity emptying whatever troubles I have, a conversation with the higher power 😊
I’m not someone with truckloads of requests for myself but I do pray with all my heart for my loved ones every single day.
