Get the word out. The government is doing nothing to help this devastating fish kill on the darling. Cotton farms sucking the river dry and wiping out an entire ecosystem. Thousands of huge Murray cod, yellow belly and other aquatic life just wiped off the earth. It will take decades to get this back to what it was. Let’s stand together against this. #fishkill#mdba#murraycod#darling#devastation@rodmackenziecodmac
Over the weekend my great aunt was allowed back in to see what’s left of her house. The first video is her seeing her house for the first time since she evacuated in a panic.
Accompanied by my mom, aunt and cousins they started to sift through the ashes, only a few things survived. They were able to locate where her jewelry box was, her favorite ring being one of the few things that made it.
All 2711 concrete blocks are different, none are the same. For me this simulates the mass destruction of people who were different from the “norm” but also different from each other. It is impossible for any two people to be the same. This particular group of people fell under a religious umbrella, yet all have their own stories. These stories were destroyed without a second glance upon the people they really were.
Concrete eventually cracks from pressure, and the world cracked in this situation, unable to stop such a devastating deed.
Everyone has their own stories and way of life. This should be respected just as much as the next persons. We are human beings, we are equal. 🌎🇹🇩
Memorial to the Jewish people
Here stands 2711 concrete blocks of all shapes and sizes to remember the terrible history of the 1930-1950’s when Hitler was making his way to power and Germany was under control of the Nazi’s.
The story is well known, and I urge everyone to visit this place along with the concentration camps as nothing really feels real till you are there, where it all happened.
The mass of what happened is devastating, but the German people work to show the world what went wrong here all those years ago. They are brave for not hiding away but standing up tall and telling their story. History is important, without it life would simply repeat itself.
The people of Germany have learnt from their History and the rest of us would do well to do the same.
I feel kind of devastated today. Something, I did to feel better and empowered, turned into the opposite. And even though it's not my mistake, I can't do anything about it at the moment. I feel helpless and I am deeply scared of the consequences.
I experienced this so often during the last years, that it feels like a déjà-vu. Trapped in the same situation over and over again. I trust people but due to their own mental instability, they let me down. Break their promises, act selfishly without asking me, ignore my needs. We talk about the issue but they don't do anything about it. I have a lot of understanding for certain situations but I cannot understand that so many people are not able to be honest and at least fix the issues they caused. Especially when it is so easily done... I don't want to cause broken people even more pain, but they also hurt me. Unintentionally - but that doesn't make it better, and it shouldn't be an excuse. You cannot let someone else ruin your life with their actions - you and your needs are a priority. I know, I will wait until tomorrow morning, enough time to give the other one a last chance, then I will act. I have to, my life lies in my own hands actions...
Yes this happened. My family is safe. My dog is safe. Thank God FEMA finally officially declared it as a disaster. Love and hugs to everyone else affected. Thank you for the love and support ❤️ #WoosleyFire#Fire#Malibu#devastation
