🤷♀️It's all or nothing with me...there's no middle ground🤷♀️...
Black 🎱or White 😇 thinking is hazardous to health!
Confession time: this summer has had some challenges for my health journey. My black and white thinking had me feeling like a failure and ready to give up... stop contending, believing I have no choice but to be HUGE again 😩... until I saw this picture and realized the truth... that though I’ve had a couple of setbacks, I’ve made SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS! Whether I’ve lost a little as in the first pic or (swipe right)ALOT as in the 2nd, I am making progress!!! This distorted black 🎱and white 😇 thinking is a stumbling block to overall success on our health journey! This is a transformed LIFE, not a transformed DAY. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. We need to embrace the setbacks and obstacles and learn from them.
Here are a couple Do’s👊🏼 and Dont’s ❌that are helping me change my thinking 🤔... hope they’re helpful to you:
👊🏼Recognize your strengths
👊🏼Understand that setbacks happen
👊🏼Find the positive in situations
👊🏼Try to do difficult things with mentor and community support
❌Focus on your faults
❌Dwell on self-defeating thoughts
❌Try to do life alone
Here are some tips to correct your all-or-nothing thinking:💡💡
👊🏼Try to avoid unconditional terms, such as nothing or never.
👊🏼Notice when you're thinking in black-or-white extremes and ask yourself if there's a possibility for any gray area.
👊🏼Try to find the positive side of the situation.
👊🏼When you can only see one side of any situation, it can help to seek out the support of your health coach and community network may be able to assist you in your thinking!
Just today I was talking to a coworker about this very thing, asking her, “Wouldn’t it be awesome if our inner beauty was exuded from within, instantly appearing on the outside?” And then my wife sent me this. ❤️😊 Outer beauty fades, and won’t last forever. I learned long ago to never judge a book by its cover, or a person by their outer beauty. Having both inner AND outer beauty it nice, but only the one type of beauty will ever truly matter.

The fact is, we attract more of what we choose to focus on. We BECOME what we think about. We create our outer environment by creating an inner environment so beautiful that the outer, physical manifestation of our inner world catches up.
We don’t have to seek beauty-we only have to BE beauty to attract more of it into our lives without effort.
A friend of mine said to me yesterday... "I want what you have got"
I said "And what is that?" She said... "CONFIDENCE"
It so interesting to see yourself in the eyes of others.
Confidence comes from doing what your heart indicates you need to do and not letting other things get in the way.
Don't get me wrong I am not fully confident all of the time.....no one is however there are a few things that need to happen for confidence to shine through. 🌀Don't care what others think of you. 🌀Feel fear and do it anyway. 🌀Take a risk. 🌀Visualize yourself as that confident woman. 🌀Positive self talk.......talk yourself up. 🌀Knowing that your confidence helps lead others to be confident themselves.
Let your confidence shine through on the outside even if on the inside you are scared.

Start making yourself happy and making the right decisions for you. If people care about you as a person they will support you and if not they aren’t worth it.
Life’s too short to be unhappy with a situation that can be changed. I am learning to embrace who I am as a person and make myself happy even if others don’t support me.

Life is a quest. And you need to arm yourself for it like those heroes you see in movies; train, learn from those wiser than you, equip yourself with knowledge and habits which will make you strong and ready for your journey.
In reality, it means learning life hacks like meditation, yoga, cooking healthy meals, journaling, managing your time efficiently and understanding your love language...
There is not one way to do it. We all fight different battles. We are all different. But when you feel like giving up, make sure you tried and learned every tricks in the book to become the warrior that you can be.

Guilt vs Shame...there’s a big difference!
Guilt happens after you do something you regret. Shame is when you feel you are flawed as a person.
Shame is a big player in many mood disorders, depression, and can impact our ability to feel happiness even when we think we “should be happy”. By knowing the difference, we can bring awareness as to why we feel certain ways. This begins to normalize our struggles instead of feeling sad for no reason.
Awareness is the first step in working towards happiness and relief of suffering.
