I'm not going to lie, salt water and sun give me life. Until the end of the brutal ny winter I'll have to substitute with books about beaches. Two more months and I'll be done with school and off celebrating graduation on a boat with my best friend. I can't wait to sunbath and relax and catch up on my the pile. College is kicking my ass, but it will be worth it in the end. #daughterofthesirenqueen#booksta#bookstagram#collegerambles#bookworm#booksandcats
“What did you do?”
“Well, I made you something. Look here. I gave this squid your face.”
There is silence, and then, “Alosa, I’m going to kill you.”
Daughter of the Pirate King 😂 I love these two and I adore hate to love romances. What are some of your favourite hate to love couples!? These cuties are the latest chess pieces from @shelflovecrate and my favourite so far 😍, so freaking cute!!! You don’t want to miss out on the pieces coming in March! You can use my code “LOWE10” to save on monthly crate or book only subscriptions.
QOTD: Have you read the Daughter of the Pirate King duology?
AOTD: I have, and I loved it! I can’t wait to read Tricia Levenseller’s new book, Warrior of the Wild, but I’ve got a lot of other reading to get done first!
Speaking of reading, I’ve received a lot of book mail this month, which I’ll be showing in my haul picture later down the line. It’ll likely be my last haul for a couple months, but it’s a fairly big one so I won’t be without reading material for a while!
Reading is still.. well, non-existent (I haven’t read anything for a while tbh, despite trying to). I’ve got some ARCs I need to read for reviews (yes, still) so I’ll be pushing my way through those if I can. I know I keep saying this, but reviews are (hopefully) coming soon.... if I can just find the time to sit down and read (which atm, I can’t, because... A-levels).

Good morning 😁 Post something positive 💕
Guys, Monday is here and I'm the heck over it already 😑 Like can we just brush Monday under the rug and forget it's a thing? Maybe double up on Saturdays or something?
Despite it being "that day" here's some Map Monday for you! It's a beautiful map from a previous @enchantedbookbox and the stunning Alosa button is from @whimsifybox 😍
Happy 🍀🍀 St. Patrick's Day! 🍀🍀
I don't have a lot of green books but I hope this will do. I hope you all had a great day, I spend my day writing on my book. Yesterday I finished 'Stalking Jack The Ripper'. My god it was good! I just love how the writer gave the history an own turn for te plot and ending. Definitely one of my favorite books!
Hey everyone! So it has been 10 days since I last posted and I missed being on here so much lately. I've been off adventuring in Florida with my family for the last week. Which means I've been doing lots of reading, but I haven't squeezed in the time to tell you all about the books I've been reading yet. Anyways, it's almost 11pm so this post is definitely going to flop. We were at the beach today on Sanibel island on the Gulf side of Florida all day, so that's why this post is so late!
But I'm really here to give you all 5 reasons why you should read the Daughter of the Pirate King duology by Tricia Levenseller! - It features an all female pirate crew
- Romance that makes you want to scream at the characters to please kiss already
- Family secrets and drama that will have your head exploding right open
- Fast paced and high stakes story telling that holds your attention from the beginning
- The main character Alosa is sassy hilarious, clever, sarcastic, smart, independent, and strong
Hey everyone! Wow! It's been awhile since I last used my little beads for these photos! I actually love the sea theme for this photo, especially since the books I'm featuring #daughterofthepirateking and #daughterofthesirenqueen which are pirate themed! 💙
💙 📚📚QOTD: What's your favorite pirate themed book? 💙
As a thank you to reaching 5k followers, I tackled a papercraft weekend challenge! This time, we're paper-raiding Daughter of the Pirate King by @tricialevenseller. (Who desperately needs more fanart for this series!)
This was such a fun build, even under a short deadline. I pulled styles from Disney concept art and illustration, as the series itself is a love letter to the Pirates of the Caribbean movie universe. I really love this duology; it's light hearted, yet still packed full of piratey violence and action, a sultry romance, and the best girl gang/crew I've had the pleasure to read! Can't wait for Warrior of the Wild!
Thank you to everyone who joined the live stream of Alosa's assembly!
Who are your favorite fierce females?
Happy #fantasyonfriday ! To celebrate WARRIOR OF THE WILD releasing this Tuesday, we’re talking about warrior women!
This topic holds such a special place in my heart. I grew up a reluctant reader, and it wasn’t until I read ALANNA by Tamora Pierce that I fell in love with reading. It is a goal of mine to always write fierce females, whether they are fierce in fighting, in wits, in bravery, or in something as simple as the desire to be better. All women are complex and wonderful, and the world should see us as more than just a token character.
