There are two days in the year that nothing can be done. Once is called yesterday, and the other tomorrow, so today is the right day to love, believe, so, and mostly live. - Dalai Lama We as a society spend so much time trying to figure out what to do next, we forget about what we’re doing now. Don’t get me wrong goals are necessary to achieving success, but don’t focus so much on your future that you forget about the present. It really is the most beautiful time of your life. Enjoy it, all of it, while finding the balance to work towards your goals. #dalailamaquote#meaganquotehaha#thatsnotahashtag#ohwell#livefortoday
Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional. I resonate deeply with this #DalaiLamaquote 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💯
How often do we create suffering for ourselves? It seems to be part of the human conditioning, but it doesn't have to be.
Every choice we make has an impact in our bodies. The thoughts we hold repeatedly become beliefs.
Some of your beliefs are your own, but many are others you have claimed as your own due to deep conditioning to no fault of your own.
Every decision we make has a payoff or a benefit.
This causes you to repeat the same decisions over & over, sometimes to your detriment.
Do you believe in spontaneous healing?
Do you believe in miracles?
It is difficult for many of you to believe in something you can't see. I get it. 💯
I have a miracle consciousness.
I expect miracles. I am not separate from God, so why shouldn't I have that belief? 👊🏻🙏🏻
I also believe that unresolved emotional wounds manifest in the physical body.
A few years ago I begin experiencing symptoms of cervical dystonia out of the blue! (Actually, it wasn't “out of the blue”, but that's for another post)😘
This is a movement disorder that decreases range of motion and can create dysfunction in the way the part of the body that is involved.
For me, turning my head to the left became very difficult and driving was near impossible.
It also caused my head to become rigid and fixed in a left tilted posture. This caused discomfort and created self-consciousness that I had never before experienced. I felt defective at my core.
This brought up so many issues.
How did I create this?
What is wrong with me?
Body shaming on repeat.
I was unable to run or exercise the way that I preferred.
Then something miraculous happened. ✨🌠My coach asked me to love this condition up and ask what it needed from me.
In the moment, I invited her in EVERYTHING changed.
I also saw a chiropractor who specializes in something called Matrix Repatterning. This is a gentle practice that involves hands on treatment to the body to help release stored tension from previous physical trauma. Read more 👉🏼
I’ve heard this quote a number of times recently. It encompasses the modern lifestyle. •
When asked what surprised him most, Dalai Lama responded, “Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”
The obsession of immediate indulgence, bigger and better, faster and richer. . . We go on and on and on. But what are we chasing? Why are we so caught up in this rat race? Is it worth losing ourselves? Is it worth losing our health? •
This is what drives Third River Health. To break our patterns of meaningless life. Our hypnotic rhythms. The mindless habits. To stop and become connected with ourselves and others. Think for ourselves. Become in tune with ourselves, our bodies and our needs. •
Let’s do this. Exciting things coming soon. We are working hard and want to change the world one . . person . . at a time. •
