Sério, me surpreendeu. A autora ainda escreveu TODAS AS MÚSICAS, junto com a história! A Reese Witherspoon (a Legalmente Loira, lembra? #instabook#amolivros#lidos#instalivros#daisyjones#amoler#bookaddict#bookaholic#reesewitherspoon#daisyjonesandthesix#rocknroll#70s#taylorjenkinsreid

I finally started this one and I don't want to put it down...I'm already counting down the minutes til nap time. Approximately 300 for anyone wondering. Lol!! #QOTD What was the last book you read and couldn't put down?
📚 Book blurb 📚
Daisy Jones & The Six were the biggest rock band in the world, but they split up mid-tour in 1979. Through interviews with the band members and other significant people a reconstruction is made of how they became big and why they fell apart.
The way this book is set up makes you feel like you're reading a great music documentary. I can’t imagine this NOT turning into a movie or TV series.
I really enjoyed the back-and-forth memories, sometimes conflicting, always illuminating. The characters all leap off the page, and the way they describe how the songs came together makes me wish this wasn't a fictional account!
The actual break-up was a little less intense than I had thought it would be, and there’s a bit of a twist towards the end I didn’t think added much to the book, but these are my minor personal thoughts. Overall I thought this was very well done, and a joy to read.

“There are so very many ways to be in this world and sometimes I think I’m writing just so I can show you some of them.” from author @tjenkinsreid ‘s Acknowledgments (this one to her daughter) at the end of Daisy Jones & The Six. .
Daisy is so worth the read. Every page, every character, every insight and emotion. Daisy is currently sharing the top spot for 2019 books I’ve read. .

The day I was born.
Also the day the (fictitious) album “Aurora” from #daisyjonesandthesix was released!
The book includes song lyrics
“It doesn’t matter how hard I try
Can’t earn some things no matter why
My heart is weak, I can’t take it
A hope like you could break it”

Daisy Jones & The Six was good. It had a super interesting way of telling the story through documentary type interviews and I think that’s why I was able to fly through it in two days.
My fave character was def Karen and she had the best one liners of the whole book, “Men often think they deserve a sticker for treating women like people.”
Having finished it last night I can say, I didn’t think about the story today. I didn’t miss the characters. However, if the late 70s LA music scene is your vibe, you’ll love this. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
“I am not a muse. I am the somebody. End of fucking story." This is the book I didn't know I needed… i'm completely blown away!
Daisy Jones & the Six is a truly a masterpiece, Reid captured the essence of sex, drugs and rock and roll.
There are multiple sides to every story and this book displayed every side. I loved diving into the life, thoughts and the struggles throughout all of the characters.
Today marks the first day of Spring 💐 and International Day of Happiness 💞
To celebrate I did something that makes me incredibly happy... I purchased a few books to add to my “To Be Read” list for the Spring.
A new season is like a new chapter or book to me. You have the chance to reset and find new energy. I find having books you want to read lined up helps with this even more.
Hope everyone enjoyed the first day of Spring and International Day of Happiness!
On my list:
Bridge to Terabithia (a childhood classic that made me fall in love with reading and can’t wait to revisit on a Sunday afternoon)
Girl, wash your face
Then She Was Gone
Daisy Jones and The Six
I put Daisy Jones and The Six on hold at my library months before it was released, I had read a list of soon to be released books and this one sounded great. It did not disappoint. It’s Rock n Roll in the 70s, written like an interview with everyone’s memories of events being slightly different, and Daisy will make you think of Stevie Nicks. At one point I did cry, I did not expect that from this book. Quote - “Women will crush you, you know? I suppose everybody hurts everybody, but women always seem to get back up, you ever notice that? Women are always still standing.” #daisyjonesandthesix#taylorjenkinsreid#librarybooks#reading#booksofinstagram
Have you read "Daisy Jones & The Six"?! It's my favorite book so far this year, maybe the last two years. It's written as a series of interviews and so much fun to read. I love the '60s music scene so this is so my jam. The other book is part of my home decorating research, which is a work in progress. #pamdoingthings#daisyjonesandthesix

REPOST • @em_digs_books REVIEW | Daisy Jones and The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid. •
From the moment I started Daisy Jones, I was captivated. This was definitely a “Bookstagram made me do it” purchase I will admit, but thank goodness Daisy Jones came into my life. It was truly a compelling story. Very original. •
Here is a synopsis: ’For a while, Daisy Jones & The Six were everywhere. Their albums were on every turntable, they sold out arenas from coast to coast, their sound defines an era. And then, on 12 July 1979, they split.
Nobody ever knew why. Until now.
They were lovers and friends and brothers and rivals. They couldn't believe their luck until it ran out. This is their story of the early days and the wild nights, but everyone remembers the truth differently. ‘ •
This definitely had a VH1 Behind the Music vibe to it which I liked. I enjoy rock music so immediately fell in love with the band and Daisy.
I have read that Reid was influenced by the relationship between Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac who I love. Daisy and The Six felt like they could have been an actual band. I really wish they were!
The writing was different as it was told through a series of interview answers from a range of characters. Daisy and The Six were the key focus and each with their own notable personality and flaws which made them relatable and distinctive. I cared about them and Reid brought them all to life. Each character had different takeaways from key events which felt honest and real. Reid captured the spirit of the 70’s American rock scene impeccably. •
I loved it. I loved the rock and roll hedonistic feel to it and the ending was just perfect. It was such a unique read and I immediately went and listened to Fleetwood Mac ‘Rumours’ album. I don’t want to give too much away, just go find a copy and read it. I promise you, you won’t regret it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #bookstagram#daisyjonesandthesix

Thank you all for helping Daisy debut at number three on the New York Times this week. This is a first for me! Feels a little trippy (which is maybe appropriate?).

My dear friend and favorite street artist Morley made this awesome graphic of Daisy Jones. She looks just as bad ass here as she does in my head. @official_morley
