“Somewhere deep inside these bones an emptiness began to grow”
- Jack Skellington
I looove this song. You can long for fame and praise and feel empty. You can have fame and praise and still feel empty. You can feel empty longing for something you’ve never had and that can be your DRIVE or your DOWNFALL. Jack says, “year after year, it’s the same routine and I have grown so tired of the same old thing”
Does this lyric bring up the idea that as human as we are we are still ALWAYS in search of something EXTRA? Something we don’t have yet but we want? It can be a new job, money, a family, fame, love and acceptance. It can be a constant battle of self love. 🎙 What are you singing to your self?
So let’s talk about clients today...
When you are just getting started as a business owner, it’s SO easy to take on clients that perhaps aren’t the best fit for you for several reasons. For instance, they may be too demanding, maybe their personality is a bit of a clash, OR perhaps they just can’t afford your services at regular price. •••••••••••••
It can be difficult to turn clients away when you know you need to bring in the income BUT is it really worth it long term??? I definitely have my take on it based on personal and client experiences but I want to hear from you. What do you think??? Trust your gut and don’t take the clients that aren’t good fits OR do it anyway? 🤔

In today’s Gospel, Jesus exhorts his disciples to stay vigilant. The kind of anticipation he is asking them to assume is not passive waiting. By asking his disciples to gird their loins and to light their lamps, he is inviting them to actively wait, to be prepared.
“If I find in myself a desire which no experience in the world can satisfy, the most problematic explanation is that I was made for another world.” — C.S. Lewis

If we cannot be happy in spite of our difficulties, what good is our spiritual practice? #FoodForThought I’m not about to proclaim a Good God who goes with me wherever I go, yet walk around moping, if I’m moping, anxious, mad, worrying then who’s walking with me? #SeeBeautyInAllThings

How many @winpropet chews should you give your dog a day?
“The scriptural account of the Exodus begins with a small group of powerful women: rebellious midwives, a brave mother, a resourceful sister, and a compassionate adoptive mother. Though distinct from one another in status, education, and tradition, these women were nevertheless complicit in their defiance of an abhorrent law. The bond that instantly connected them was forged of their instinct for life, for compassion, and for love. Does not this maternal love, shared by this circle of women, rightfully preface the Exodus? Is not this love the beginning of redemption?”
Up on our blog, our Faith Perspective by @rebeccasrobison details the rich feminine imagery that describes the Lord’s deliverance of the House of Israel and parallels our deliverance from sin and death. Read this one with your scriptures in hand, so that you, too, can delve into the ways in which we all have been “carried from the womb" (link in profile).
