What a day of Crossfit, sun a shining☀️and a WOD to kick your tail..on my non-CF days been working on thickening up the ol’ back, with having a fused lower vertebra after breaking it awhile ago, core&back have always been a top priority. Doctors said I should never hit heavy weights again, but by Gods kindness alone I’ve push through their restrictions...now for some sleep!
I was planning on posting this as soon as I got kiddo picked up from daycare and we got home, but sometimes plans change. Kiddo was off all day today and even though I brought him to the dr 2 days ago and ruled out an ear infection (he was complaining his ear hurt) he wouldn't open his mouth for them to check his throat... Yep, he has strep :( This is one of the hardest parts with autism, he never once was able to communicate to me that his throat hurt, I could only go off his behavior and body language telling me something wasn't right.
On a positive note, he is now on an antibiotic and he hasn't run a fever. Hopefully it kicks in quickly for him! ☹️

I would rather work and be tired than sit on the couch and be tired. ••
Even coming up as a youngin, I was always told to take a break, you work to hard. Hell, even today at work I was called the happy abstractor , always enthusiastic and never down. ••
This moves my point to mindset. If you have to work every day to provide for your family then why not be happy? Why not she extra amount of energy towards your job? Why not go the extra mile in work? ••
The choice is always yours. The way you portray yourself and how others view you will ALWAYS be up to you. You can have the worst luck in the world and nothing ever go your way, but if you remain enthusiastic about life that’s what they will remember you for, not the bad luck you have. ••
So my challenge for you. Take the next 2 days on this week and face them with a different mindset. Take all negatives out of your vocabulary. Wake up wanting to be successful and apply ACTION all day long. I promise you this, the difference in how you feel will be all the necessary needs to keep you pushing. ••
Because again, I would rather work and be tired than sit on the couch and be tired. Because at least progress will be made. ••

Go ahead, cut your calories really low... you'll lose weight.
Your body will begin to cannibalize it's own lean muscle tissue... so you don't die.
The scale will go down... but you'll feel like shit. The diet will suck. You'll be irritable.
YOU WILL LOSE MUSCLE... Loss of muscle leads to a slower metabolic rate.
Did I mention calorie restricted diets blow? You'll crack... and binge. And go back to eating the calorie level that made you fat in the first place. Only this time you'll do it with a slower metabolism.

And then you'll either decide to take the vicious cycle all over again... or you'll quit.

My shoulder day today, it was a good workout hit my shoulders from multiple angles and got a lot of trap work in! Feeling like a beast in the gym LOL! Long way to go but walking the path is part of the journey!
I have 2 business calls and a school project to do tonight so I had to get my #shoulder#workout done a bit earlier. Either way, got that #pump going.
Now time to plan the April/May #Accountability Group. I see people killing it with all different workouts these days and it’s awesome. There is still room for YOU to join us.

First break from filming in a week so I took the opportunity to sneak into @goodlifeadcity to try to work off last night’s massive porterhouse, chips and wine. Huge gym in the centre of Adelaide across several floors. Thanks to the friendly staff for looking after me.
