It is difficult to say when the first castle was built in these areas. It is widely believed that this took place in the XIII century and was caused by the Tatar threat, but there is no direct evidence for this.
In the course of time, the originally Gothic castle was rebuilt into a large Renaissance chateau with abundant decorations and great and extremely valuable collections. The historical houses in front of the castle are noteworthy as well. In 1800, the very first castle museum and chateau in Central Europe was opened in Frýdlant.
I happened to refurbish one of the castle's wings ... but it still looks magnificent 🏰

And - of course - #food.
Because it's social media, goddammit, everyone is dying to see what other people are eating (as they should 'cause that #porkknee is to die for)! And also because there is no such thing as too much trdlo. Trdlo is love, trdlo is life and I know that " #trdlo" is the log and the food is " #trdelník" - I would eat that heavenly shit wood and all, I don't care
