Pretty chuffed that we got a mention in this month’s @homesandgardensuk magazine! Well done to Katie @mccruminteriordesign who masterminded this design: it really is a dream bathroom. -
We provided a variety of systems for this home including Lutron lighting. In the bathroom, as well as controlling the lighting, the Lutron also automates mirror demisters and controls the bathroom fan. That meant we can change the behaviour of the room during the night, keeping the lights lower and the fan off.
Dropped the louvers off this morning to get finished prior to us installing... these are the half (5.5”) louvers that will be up against the wall above and to the right of the full (11”) louvers. The beveled edge detail adds such a nice look! #callumeastdesign
Honestly, this picture depicts my life pretty well right now. It's busier but yet, slower. Sounds conflicting but it's true. In balancing my responsibilities, I have had to slow down a ton and place more attention into the details of the load. It has meant not jumping to "yes" but also not jumping straight to "no," rather being open to opportunities. It has meant setting aside a minute to plan out and carefully move forward, with one step at a time. My struggle is always wanting to jump 10 (..maybe 20) steps ahead, and my expectations are to be from A to Z like yesterday. My thought is always: I know what I want my (ideas, desires, plans, life) to look like, I just don't feel I have the TIME to do what it takes to get there. Anyone else?
After having a child, I have less time but actually, it doesn't feel that way. I simply value my precious time more now and find ways to prioritize any spare minute. It's been helpful to take my time more seriously, and of course I wish I had this mindset before, when I had all that time (I blame millennial hooks like Netflix..)
So as I somewhat quietly, somewhat publicly, go about doing the work it takes to get "there" in a few areas, I will try to be more intentional on looking back and being proud of the little steps I've taken. Because all of those little steps are often the ones hardest for me to take. But that is what it takes right? Lots of little steps and constant reminders. Giving myself time and grace.
All that to say, I'm encouraged. Even in the middle of the pressures of life with social media & overwhelming expectations of perfection, know that it's not reality to be from A to Z overnight. It's just about taking time to decide what's important (prioritize) and what's that next step (action). Hope you found some encouragement, or even just validation. Unless I'm really the only one who's felt stuck in the pressures of life, I'm betting you get it too 😉 || ·
Custom installation isn’t just hanging TVs and installing speakers, it’s coming up with innovative ways of delivering what the client dreams of. In this case, everything hidden in the rack. Will show more when it’s finished #custominstall#smarthome#tv
