Liljenquist & Beckstead Jewelers is proud to donate this custom-made royal blue sapphire and diamond pendant, created by our Master Goldsmith Steve Clarke, to The Colorectal Alliance’s 2018 Blue Hope Bash. Committed to ending colorectal cancer in our lifetime, the Eighth Annual Blue Hope Bash unites allies across the nation on Thursday, October 25 at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. Proceeds support the Alliance’s commitment to invest $10 million in research, save 100,000 lives, and double the number of allies served.
Steve Clarke designed this one of-a-kind piece with the shape of a heart on the pendant’s backside to show support for a worthy cause.
Liljenquist & Beckstead Jewelers wishes The Colorectal Alliance much success at this year’s Blue Hope Bash!
Just because I don’t know much about the gal this skirt is for, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t get special pockets. Nosireee. It just means I get to do whatever I want. 😜 This pocket fabric may look familiar to you. I used it for my skirt just a few weeks ago. I don’t usually use a pocket fabric twice but I’m making an exception for this one. This sweet heart denim fabric was my mom’s. She. Loved. Denim. Not even kidding. That’s all she wore. For years!! It was a real situation. We gave her such a hard time. Like...seriously, mom, find another fabric. But she loved it. When I went through her closet after she passed, almost every single piece of clothing was made with denim. Almost all the fabric she had in her sewing stash was denim. So HOW FITTING that I’m making a skirt to be worn @denimdaysfestival!? Hahahhaha. I feel like I’ve gotten to be a part of some pretty cool things in my life, but this, hands down, I guarantee, is what she would have been most excited about. So, CLEARLY, I had to put a little piece of “her” in these pockets. If only because it makes me laugh to do so. The thought of her heart printed denim fabric being worn by a director of a denim company to an Honors Event is just too good. TOO GOOD!! I’ll be laughing about this one for a while. 😂 #feelssoright
"Circa 6 years old I remember riding my bicycle down the biggest hill in my neighborhood of #Piedmont, SD. Gravel roads in those days. Right as I was reaching top speed, the entire front end came apart... in slow motion... one bolt at a time. I ate shit. As soon as I healed up, I fixed my bike (with my dad) and hit that hill every day to find out how fast I could go. #Motorcycles take me back to the innocence of pure thrill." - @TheJessiCombs
