Estava todo contente por saber que podia comer aquelas panquecas sem se sentir culpado, e por saber que aquilo não o ia fazer ganhar peso. .
Para alguém que foi obeso a maior parte da adolescência, e cerca de 7 anos na vida adulta, ter o seu coach a dizer-lhe que é OK comer isto ou outras coisas porque não lhe vai fazer mal é uma grande vitória.
Contudo, não fiques com a ideia de que é assim. Que podes comer o que quiseres, quando quiseres. Que podes escolher entre não fazer exercício físico ou não fazer. Há trabalho que tem que ser feito para que tu possas comer isto, sem que isso te afete.
Muito importante também: tu comes isto DEPOIS de fazeres o trabalho! Não comes isto primeiro e depois vais tratar de compensar. .
É assim que ganhas.

In the middle of your Friday #Hustle, when it all feels exhausting, STOP 🛑, take a time-out and just breathe🙌🏼. The January grind can be exhausting so check in with yourself, remind yourself WHY you’re doing all this & slow down a little today.

Difference: 10 seconds - of perfecting the lighting, holding my breath, contorting my body, and finding the right angles - to get two very different and exaggerated photos. I’m re-posting these moments and thoughts to demonstrate how perception isn’t always reality and to remind you to stop comparing yourself to what others publish. No app filters or digital edits on these moments, as so many often preach, but I also don’t really have a muffin top or a thigh gap. It’s a week into the new year, resolutions are wavering - or perhaps they weren’t realistic, to begin with- and I wanted to give you a little boost. I’m ALL about self-improvement and constantly challenging your body and mind, but I really want to challenge you to first (and foremost and ALWAYS) own who you are, right now, in this very moment - and that means ALL of you, every pound, every pimple, every scar, every “flaw”, and every piece of your past. Learn to work with what you already have - know how to pose, know what works for you, know what balance means, know your support system, know what’s possible. It’s so easy to look for worth in that end goal, like a number on the scale, for example, but it’s not there. It’s so easy to see plateaus and setbacks as complete failures, forgetting any hard work or progress you’ve made. And yet it’s so difficult for so many to be still in their thoughts and to get to a point of feeling completely and confidently present and at peace with themselves on an unconditional level - why? Stop being afraid of who you are. You can be your biggest cheerleader or your worst enemy, why would you ever want to be the latter? or have to live without the former? I really believe that no matter where you are in your journey, you’re exactly where you are supposed to be, you’re MADE for this life, so take pride and practice gratitude in every step, even/especially those moments you’re so close to giving up (don’t) and wonder if you’ll ever figure it out (you will, maybe just not in the way you planned).
