"Transformation Thursday" - Pic on the left is from Rachel's first day at TTR in early March. Pic on the the right is from today. She has committed herself to workout, and change her diet. Awesome job Rachel! She says it best... Hard to believe my before picture. I never saw myself that big until I started loosing and compared it to other pictures. It’s so easy to get bored and eat, get tired and take a nap, go to food for comfort in hard times. Your weight tells you “this is just how you are” or “I’m just a thick chick.” Truth is I was unhealthy as hell. Inside and out. This journey I’m on has taught me something very important. I was and still am 100% addicted to food. I use it for pleasure, in sadness, just because, or of course the boredom snacking. Joining TTR and doing @crossfit has forever changed me. I look at food and fitness completely different now and choose to say no to unhealthy options. I still struggle everyday to walk away from my beloved comfort food but I never want to be that big again. I am extremely blessed to have walked into a gym and been successful first shot. My best advice is, if you hate going to the gym, you are going to the wrong gym. Try somewhere new that keeps you motivated and wanting to come. Everyone is different. I had a planet fitness membership for years and never lost a single pound. I just didn’t have the discipline. CrossFit is the environment I needed. Find your tribe and kick ass. Nutrition, an essential tool that is best when used in agreeance with that which is natural! The problem with mordern nutritional practices, particularly in mordern western social orders, is our captivity by mordern convience tools. These tools have allowed us to practice unconventional/unnatural methods of eating. These unnatural practices have lead to a global epidemic of disease and obesity!
Challenge everything any individual who has been educated and or culturalized in any of the western institutions of nutrition thought, I say any and all of them!
They are indeed educated but misguided and miseducated in terms of what's natural for the human species to consume and the frequency of that food consumption!

"I used to work night shifts for many years working in hospitality, and over time it became something I got used too. Once I had children, it was so difficult to go to bed late and then wake up early for the children to go to school being a complete zombie.
This year I've been so aligned in finding work that allows me to go to bed early and wake early. I've learned so much this year on the benefits of waking early from people like @joeduncan, @before5am, and @melrobbins to name a few!
Here are some of the most powerful benefits I've experienced from consistently waking up early:
Reduced stress levels when you incorporate exercise or meditation into your morning.
Better quality of sleep - When you start waking early, you start going to sleep earlier and establishing a better sleeping rhythm for your body.
Improved organization - Rising early gives you time to plan your day, prepare for the morning madness with children or work, and do things that you would typically rush to do.
Quiet/Peaceful - Waking up before others in your home creates a peaceful and quiet space for you to be alone with your thoughts. There's something beautiful about the bird's first songs and the sun rising before you while you sip on your morning beverage.
