Had to call the wife beast @jade_shield from inside to come film for me😋 wasn’t too impressed, but I couldn’t let my 9 followers down. Super cool session today: 10 mins 1 handstand push-up 1 strict pull-up, 2/2 3/3 etc. then some standard strength work including tempo bench press 6-8 reps 5 sec down 2 sec pause on the bottom last rep max hold at the bottom. Everyone's got these stupid barriers that they put in their head. You've got to resist those God damn things, they don't do you any good. And they certainly define the potential for your future in a negative way. It's not self-serving and it's not even real.
This idea that you're telling yourself you can't get past the starting block today is just ludicrous.
People that are trapped in bad situations, one of the problems is - you feel like this is your future and you can't get out of that. You're fucked. Theres no hope, no rainbow, no light at the end of the tunnel. And that if you let it consume you like that, that alone can be incredibly defining and limiting.
But if you took a seat back and looked objectively like: I'm kinda fucked here. I'm in credit card debt. Working in a shitty job. I hate what I'm doing - but I have some ideas. I need to feed those fucking ideas. I need to feed them. Water them. I need to set aside a certain amount of time everyday to just make those things happen.
Failure teaches you very important things.
It gives you an opportunity for self examination and also gives you a feeling that is very uncomfortable. Don't look at these failures as proof that you suck, let these fucked up feelings be the fuel that is to your fire. Look at it as opportunities to be better.
When you look at someone who portrays some "properly influenced" influencer doing awesome shit - there is a progression you're not witnessed to. A progression that you don't see it.
So long as you constantly re-evaluate, and reassess, and constantly; objectively look at what you're doing with passion and focus - You get better at things.
We have been fed this line of horse shit that you're supposed to "seek comfort". I think you're supposed to seek lessons, and difficult tasks and accomplishments; grit through those things and through arduous struggle.
One of the things I always tell my business partners, my teachers, my team, my men in my battalion, my kids, my students, my family - is to always do shit that's DIFFICULT.
You don't get to know who the fuck you are unless you're tested.
