After months of traveling from North to South, our time in Vietnam has come to an end...
We have seen so much and yet we still feel as though there is plenty we've missed.
Does anyone else struggle with feeling like you constantly have to be doing something whilst traveling? We've got to remind ourselves that we can't see and do everything in every place we visit and some days we have to do absolutely nothing, to chill and recharge. We're slowly getting better at this.
Next stop is the land of smiles 😄😄😄 Do you know where we're headed?
YES - this is the most beautiful pagoda on earth, and NO - that is not a skirt. 😂 The Shwedagon Pagoda is Myanmar's most sacred Buddhist site (that's saying a lot considering how many thousands they have) and is believed by some to be the oldest in the world at over 2,500 years old. We love that we got to experience even the tiniest slice of its history.
Have you been wanting to get away but aren’t sure where to go or what to do? Have you always wanted to go to Bali but just haven’t taken the leap yet? Maybe you don’t know where to start with planning.. that’s where we come in. We plan everything for you, everything is included in our trip package with the exception of a few lunches and dinners on your free days. All activities, luxury accommodation, transportation, breakfast, swag bag and so much more! One of the common comments we got as feedback from our Bali 001 and Bali 002 crew was that they couldn’t believe how much was included for the price. So what are you waiting for? Early bird pricing is available for our August 4-11th retreat! Who’s ready to wander better with our crew?

Reposted from @nastjastasia - We made it ⛰🦁 Heute sind wir auf den Lions Rock in #sigiriya .

Realizing a little too late that there were no ATMs on Isla Isabela, we knew if there was one excursion we should ration our money for it was Los Tuneles. We booked our trip the day before through Pahoehoe, a recommended tour operator on Isabela, for $120 per person + 20% credit care fee 😩😩 Though not the cheapest price we were offered by agencies on the island, they threw in wet suits and had the best ratings. You get what you pay for and we wanted the best experience.
On the day of our tour, we left Puerto Villamil at 7am. We were joined by a lovely traveling family @wonderlingfamily
Our journey around the southern coastline of Isla Isabela was slow going so as to avoid the rough waters traveling north from the Pacific ocean. We sailed relatively close to the shoreline for about 1 hour, always with a view of Volcan Sierra Negra and Volcan Cerro Azul on the horizon.
Our captain navigated us carefully through the shallow lava tunnels of Los Tuneles. Inside the breakers the water was much more calm and clear, forming a perfect reflective surface against the clear morning sky. We hopped off the boat to explore the maze of lava tunnel arches spotting turtles and fish swimming through the beautiful blue waters.
We always got so hyped when we saw photos of Petra in Jordan and it definitely lives up to the hype.
The dramatic scenery with the pink sandstone cliffs with the tombs and temples carved into them make this place to one of our highlights.
Some tips if you plan to go:
- the ticket counter opens at six am but with the Jordan Pass you can go directly to the gate and you should definitely go at this time
- don't believe the horse carriage guys after the gate that the ride is included, it costs actually 20 JOD (28$)
- proper shoes are recommended but you can do the hikes in flip-flops as well
- food and drinks are pricey, bring your own things with you
And the most important tip:
Enjoy it 😉
Have you ever been to Petra or do you plan to go?
