This paper sack garland wraps halfway around the center of our Christmas tree each year. When my girl was a wee one, she sat at her Grandma’s dining room table, and drew this on a grocery sack. In marker. Actually, she may have snuck a Sharpie or two. She never liked Crayons - not enough punch. Even at her young age, the characters are recognizable. The one that made my heart swell, the keeper, was mean King Herod on the far right. Someday, when she shares her testimony, she’ll say she grew up knowing the Christmas story, and many other Bible tellings. My prayer is the message, the rhema, as I learned yesterday in Bible study prep, goes deep. #christmasstory#toddler#memories#family#crafting
#haul#threadhaul#yarnhaul#fabrichaul. My sister's neighbor is #downsizing and she got me three totes of goodies for #crafting.
Unfortunately some of the spools/cones are missing their labels: I have no idea what the huge cone thread is for: it feels like a synthetic fiber and is thick like #8 perlé cotton.
Most spools are high quality poly/cotton blends I can use. I am keeping the biggest burgundy yarn skeins and I'll give all the others to my aunt who does a lot of #knitting and #amigurumi. The #fabric consists in about 30 pieces of lacy poly #scraps 1/2 yd to 1 yd each, I don't know if they are leftovers or samples. They'll probably end as #Princess#costumes for my nieces. They'll love that!
