«There is a lot ignorance, there are people who do not know that a cow needs to give birth to give milk, like all mammals. The people think that cows are like that ‘dairy cows’ and ‘always give milk’.
They are very surprised when I introduce to calves Xavi, Pis or Xatina, I tell them, when you go to restaurant and you see on the menu that says ‘veal’, is a baby like them. It impacts them a lot». Fernanda cofounder to Sanctuary Granjita Thelma y Honorat.

“I DON’T WANT TO SEE THAT!” Is what I hear all the time from friends and family I show these clips to... NOBODY WANTS TO SEE IT! CAN YOU IMAGINE LIVING IT! If you can’t stand to watch this shit be done then stop paying others to do it for you! It turns your stomach and makes you cringe because it’s wrong and you know it!
Organic free range grass fed - individuals who doesn’t want to die.. they don’t care if we show them respect, or love before we slash their throats open with a knife.
To feel less guilty we like to believe that there would be a way to take someone’s live respectfully, without suffering, pain and fear. We try to believe that animals suffer in a different way, because then we don’t see the similarities between us and them. -
But we deeply know that when animals go into slaughterhouses alive, and come out chopped up into hundreds of pieces, that nothing humane happens on their way.
Intentionally forcing someone through hell, only to have a nice snack can never be justified. Animals are not commodities.

“Mom? Can we please get back to our regularly scheduled scratching program??? Pretty please?” ~ Daphne 🍄
I hope it’s obvious that I love every animal here...but Daphne is a total stand out on the farm. There are many new faces around so I just thought I would recap a few things....regular fans...I love ya!
We have a lot of pets....Pygora goats, Scottish Highland Cattle, sheep, chickens, dogs, and kitties. We are a fiber farm. I shear the goats/sheep and will be spinning their hair to make yarn. I have to learn how to spin...but will be working on that shortly.
The cows are fantastic lawn ornaments. That’s it. We just love them. Daphne here is exceptional. She is the friendliest out of the adults and I hope my photos translate just how much personality she has.
The other cows don’t let her in their inner circle. I think it’s because she is sterile - or they don’t accept red heads...rude either way.
The good thing is that herself, Kevin and I have formed a great relationship. I’m glad we have her. She will roam in our pastures forever.
Do you have a question for me? Happy and looking forward to answering them!
Here’s an old video of Popcorn and Pepsi. I wish Pepsi was still this friendly... you all want more posts about Pepsi, but she’s not that friendly anymore. She wants cuddles like 40% of the time I visit her. I’ll try to get recent pictures of her today! For those of you wondering, yes Pepsi and Popcorn do both belong to me 😎🐮💞
