In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Caped Crusader I decided to work on a brand new suit inspired by animated versions of The Dark Knight. I have been collaborating with @unmasked_studio to design this beauty. This suit is amazing and fits like a glove. Check back soon to see this thing come to life as I add the cowl, belt, gauntlets and boots. Same bat-time, same bat-channel!
So I usually post a little earlier in the day, but I thought I would share all the progress I’ve made on my Ikuto Tsukiyomi’s black Lynx outfit in the spirit of #wipwednesday
So I watched Shugo Chara when I was in like 6th grade, and I always liked his character design and how his character was for some reason, but I never really thought I would end up cosplaying him one day! If anything, I more of wanted to dress like Amu Hinamori did when I was younger, lol
Anyways, the last slide is pretty much most of my references for this, but I’m essentially making as much as I can of this!
Due to how his actual outfit is, I settled for making all of it out of pleather and since I could only get ahold of black pleather for a good price, I decided to leather paint it all the color I thought seemed best!
I made the arm guard things, I made the pants, and I’m currently starting to paint everything I’ve laid so far. I still have to make all of the belts, the claws, and the top, but I felt like I’ve been making enough progress to make a post about it instead of just putting it in my stories!
Question: Have any of you watched Shugo Chara or any of the three seasons? If so, who was your favorite character?

This is the part I was looking forward to the most. You might not know this, but I am a crow. Shiny danglies are my favorite things, and I'm always looking for an excuse to include them in my cosplays. I have so much in my hoard... Maybe I'm a dragon? One day left to work on Zidane, I wonder what I can polish off before heading down to #kupocon ?
It is #WIPwednesday , my dudes! And I have a *ton* of stuff I've been working on for Mechacon! Let's go through a few things:
1-2. So not much more progress on Akali. I had to take the vinyl edging off *three* *times* before I was finally satisfied with the look. I think once I press it down, it's gonna look pretty clean! 😁 3. Ohoho, whose hat is this? Yes, I am fixing up some pieces I wasn't happy with and rewearing Noir on Friday! I've already replaced my shirt and cravat, and I'm working on the hat now. (Note that the band and feather are not permanent--just placeholders for the *effect*.) 4-6. And a mystery costume?? I dyed a shirt yellow and painted a visor red. What could this be? Here's a hint: It's based on fan art for a character I already cosplay! That's all you get for now. 😉 It's been a productive few days, and I'm really excited to get things done!
MY JEANNIE WIG IS COMPLETE!!! I’m trying to think, and I’m pretty sure that this was by far the hardest wig I’ve ever worked on.
I used a base base blonde synthetic wig, which was long with sideswept bangs (see last pic). The bangs were cut, and the styling began. It took me three tries (styling the entire thing and then taking it all apart again) to get the French twist to stay put, tight, and neat. I used @got2b’s Spiking Glue mixed with water to comb the wig into the style so that it stayed in place. Oh yeah and I pretty much used an entire package of bobby pins.
The braid, ponytail and hat are all one piece (see collage pic). I used 22” hair weft for the braid and 20” weft for the ponytail. For the ponytail, I glued it all to a “cone” of worbla so that it sits in the center of the hat and doesn’t move around too much. I sewed the two ends of the braid into the hat, as well as the ponytail cone. The whole unit is sitting on top of the base wig, attached by a handmade “hook and eye” mechanism, with a wire loop that runs in and out of the wig tracks and a hook that was sewn into the front of the hat. And then more Bobby pins!!!!! 😂
I wanted to explain all the work that went into this wig because i kinda went crazy doing it 😂
It’s easy to look at a photo and go oh hey that looks neat but in reality what cosplayers go through to achieve certain things is truly mind blowing!
Hope you guys like it! 🧞♀️🧞♀️🧞♀️ #idreamofjeannie#wig#wigwip#customwig#hair#wigs#wigstyling#jeanniecosplay#1960s#60s#televisionseries#oldschool#flashback#jeannie#cosplay#cosplayprogress#cosplaywip#wip#craft#creative#livecreatively#crafting#sewing#dreams#liveyourbestlife#liveyourdreams@officialbarbaraeden
Another progress update on Micaiah! 😸
I'll be posting my Japan Expo plans after Sunnycon 🥰
I'm also just super super busy working on getting all of my sewing/painting finished in time for next week, I'm starting to feel a bit burned out 🙃😪 but I'm glad that nowadays I can simply just drive home from a long day at work 🙏 ⠀
✨The Princess of Bright Moon!✨
Ahhh I’m so proud of how this turned out!! Even if I may still be suffering the consequences of just HOW MUCH glitter I glued to my face the day after! 😜 I’m so super proud of this wig; it’s the most styling I’ve done for a cosplay wig! So you know I was impatient and had to do a casual costest with the makeup! 😆
What’s the hardest wig you’ve had to style?
5 mins costest of Gwen Stacy from spiderverse. Lots of people said that i should try her cause my haircut & color look similar to her rn. I'm not sure if it turned out ok or not, meh. Maybe we should make some spider duo with Hanna?
P. S. I really enjoyed watching into the spiderverse even if im not a big fan of spiderman :)
Anubis' scythe is rather huge (220cm / 7'2'') so I built it in 6 pieces that can be disassembled for transport. Putting them together is super quick and easy. No screws, magnets, bolts or tools required :) The structure is made of aluminum pipes that connect to steel rods wrapped in foam. I'm still surprised this works and holds so well!
#wipwednesday#workbenchwednesday Over the past few days I’ve been busy constructing Golden Age Griffith’s helm for @thousand_faces_cosplay. This was quite the challenge to construct! Throughout this whole build I’ve been trying to defy angles and manipulate foam in interesting ways. After trying a few dome shapes that I wasn’t entirely happy with, I decided to modify @chinbeard’s pattern for his Astrid helm. This helped quite a bit! Sometimes in the building process you’ve got to get creative to solve unrealistic drawing proportions/shapes for fictional characters. I’ve also tried to base this build off of Griffith’s action figure due to inconsistent reference pictures within the fandom. What creative solutions have you tried out on your projects recently?
