I'm trying to figure out my third costume piece for my Cons I'm attending in March. So far I have Padme as my first, and I'm thinking about doing Froppy from My Hero Academia as a second. Now that leaves me a problem with what I can get done in time for a third.
I never got to fully finish my Aloy cosplay from Horizon Zero Dawn and I'm really debating if I should take the time to finish her properly. So what do you all think? Try and be ambitious and complete a third new costume? Or finish up an old favorite and redebute as a finished piece? 😊
Plants are so much better than people 💚
I absolutely adore Posion Ivy as a character, and making something inspired by her but in an original style have always been a huge cosplay dream for me. Last year I finally managed to work on my own design for her!
I used the classic poison Ivy look as an idea but added a little touch of burlesque to it. As a result I have the most gorgeous corset piece in my collection.

Cosplay by me.
WE HAVE PANTS!!! Okay, real talk. This costume has been so much more of a pain than I ever imagined it'd be. I'm not sure if it's me getting to the point where I can see and fix mistakes, or if I'm still overcoming the "I have no idea what I'm doing" hurdle. But! I am really happy with the base pieces and how it is fitting and looking. Just remember that whenever you see a finished piece on Instagram, there is A LOT of work and time that goes into all the little details.
I'm glad to be done with sewing for a few days and getting more into the props and accessories. I have some epic new chrome paint that I'm just dying to try!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday 😊
